so, much to my dismay. my zune has locked up and ceased all functionality whatsoever. i have had it for a year, and i have tried to be gentle with it as humanly possible. still, i feared the worst. turns out, this is not an incident affecting me alone. seemingly everyone own a 30gb zune -- which is pretty much the first generation if it were an iPod -- have locked up in a similar matter. so i decided to check out the zune website and see if they had any information seeing as how it had already gone pandemic. get this, the 30gb zune has a flaw in it where it is not able compensate for the extra day in a leap year. really!? i mean is this the first leap year ever? so the solution is to sit and wait until tomorrow when it should reset itself back to the first, and they hope to have it fixed or patched by next leap year in 2012. so, i am stuck without music for at least the rest of my drive to work later. which only sucks because it is new years eve, and i am almost positive it will be ridiculously busy on the roads tonight. even more so at the bars, one of which i will be serving at this evening. if you plan to drink at all, call a cab. if you drink at a friends house, see if you can crash there later. just do not get totally sloshed and hop behind the wheel afterward. it is not as if police won't be out looking for that on this, the most drinkingest night of the year.
thanks to everyone for all the grand birthday and christmas wishes. as well as the many giftcards i received. the thing about giftcards, and i think this is what people overlook, they enable you to get someone exactly what they want. i know i did. i bought a 120gb harddrive for my xbox 360, and it was a welcomed upgrade let me tell you. no more deleting any of my dlc to make room for new stuff. i also picked up seasons one and two of heroes on dvd. while i was there, i grabbed a copy of labyrinth as well, that is some good tv viewing right there. i also got denny's giftcards, and normally i think giving food giftcards is really lame. in this case, however, i think they actually put a lot of thought into it. the reason being is that after a shift at the bar, the other bartenders and myself will often frequent denny's. so it is actually a really we planned out giftcard. plus, it came with coupons!
on a quick note, not only is tomorrow new year's day, but it is also the first day of the 100k for Child's Play. what is that you may ask yourself. well, hopefully i will be able to explain more about that tomorrow. suffice it to say, that my friends came up with a really cool idea, and i jumped at the chance to be a part of it because it is a charity i really believe in.

i fall, like the sands of time
ok, so i have not updated in so very long, i actually had to read my last post to see what i had talked about last. so very much has happenned since then since my last post was about my now no longer recent seperation from best buy.
needless to say, best buy northridge gets the epic fail because i am still a best buy employee. despite their best efforts to fire me, and blacklist me in the milwaukee area. i am still working for best buy to this day. granted it is a completely different location, but for anyone who has been following, you will know that this is actually a great success.
i ended up moving back to evansville, in southern indiana. so southern that they don't even share a timezone with the rest of the state. my family moved here some years ago, and i have lived here for a year prior to me going back to milwaukee, so i already knew what i was in for.
i have also adopted a part-time job at one of the local bars. which is fun for the most part. you will not hear any complaints out of me about the pay. between the actual paycheck, and the tips that i make there. it is very decent supplemental income. plus, it was a bar i used to frequent when i lived here a while back, and so i know most of the people that come in on a regular basis.
there is so much more i need to update, and i will try to get back into it. without my bus trips to and from work, i no longer have the time to devote to my blog that i once did. needless to say, i will strive to catch it up to date and keep it as current as possible.
now if you'll excuse me, i have a vLog that could use my attention as well.

cause this life is too short to live it just for you
ok let me start with this:
i am standing near the busstop waiting for, not suprisingly, the bus. i was standing under a tree next to the sidewalk in order to partake in its shade giving abilities. because i was at the last stop of the route, the bus could come in from either direction on either side of the street. so i look behind, and there is this old woman just standing there maybe like two feet away. just standing, and staring my direction. this totally freaked me the fuck out. regardless, i turned and tried to pretend i did not know she was there. i tried to convince myself that she was waiting on the bus too, and was, like myself, enjoying a bit of shade while she waited. if she was saying anything to me, i would not have been able to hear it because of my decision to listen to my zune any time i take the bus. the bus eventually arrives, i board, and through my periphery i can see she has not budged. once i am on the bus, and take my seat. i notice she has moved to the spot i was standing in prior to getting on the bus. she then appears to watch me as the bus pulls away. how fuggin' pod person is that?! madness i say, madness!!
at any rate. i am taking the bus up to best buy. it was requested that i come in, without explaining why. i am going to guess that it is to sign my termination paperwork. i gotta be honest, if that is the case, i may be filled with never ending rage. i can really find something better to do with three hours of my time than going to sign a piece of paper. they would shit out of luck if had a car, because i certainly would not waste the gas to do that. plus, how do they feel that it is even rational to expect people to come in just to be fired. there should be some kind of law preventing. especially with cost of travel these days. if i had not already purchased a bus pass for the week i sure as hell was not going to waste four dollars and three hours on this trip. i mean it is not as if you have to agree to being fired. why the hell is there even a form for that? as if not signing it would garner you employment again.
if i am still employed, the i will still be pissed, but only slightly less so than previously stated. i am just that irritaded with the whole situation. sure i could be upset that i have missed a week of work, but they have to pay me for missed hours. sure i can cry about the stress i have had to put up with, but having nothing to get up for in the morning is suprisingly not as stressful as one would imagine. i think the thing that would irk me the most i having to do their inventory on sunday, tuesday, and wednesday for their inspection.
needless to say, i am already looking into travel arrangements for myself and my belongings back to evansville. checking in on rental prices, talking with family, what have you. plans that will go into effect when i get the official ruling. i know most people would think this is being extremely negative, but consider these facts. things do not typically work out in my favor. the more i rely on things to just work themselves out, they more epiic their failure. also, i failed to mention that the gm had already contacted my transfer store and told him he expected me to be fired. this was before hr even contacted me. when i mentioned this to hr, she seemed not concerned in the least. if that is not foretelling you were planning to fire someone before the issue was even remotely resolved, i do not what is. it would be like calling someone's family members to let them know they will be dead on friday. then when they end up murderred, not expecting be a key suspect in the crime.
this has clearly been a premeditated act. which i have already contacted hr about their plans to fire employees from the warehouse for theast two months. they also seemed mildy uninterested in that information as well. well lucky me, it has come to fruition, so either way, this is long from over. if i have a job, then i am going to pursue a case against the gm. if i do not have a job, then i will pursue a case against best buy. either way, i will aspire to earn my job back. of course not at the same location, but none the less, the goal is the same.
all in all, i expect and prepare for the worst. if something good happens instead, then will pleasantly suprised. this is my primary tactic for avoiding disappointment.

when darkness turns to light, it ends tonight
the thing i love abouut updates is usally the addition of new features. the i love about new few features would bhave to be playing with them. i am a gadget pr0n junkie no doubt. so in the last twenty-four hours i have spent a great deal of time poking around with the new features that have been added to my small zune world.
unlike the iPod, all of the zune's updates thus far do not require the purchase of an entirely new unit. although, i will say that the release of major updates are often accompanied by the release of a new zune generation as well. which, omigawd, can i just say i am all too excited about. 120gb harddrive, a sleek metallic finish, but sadly only comes in black. so i will hold out for the newer finishes for the larger size before i upgrade. what will i do with the old zune.... that is a tuffie. i will either ebay it for extra money for the upgrade, or give it to a homeless man with ashy elbows.
so more about the awesome update. the most exciting thing would have to be the addition of the marketplace on the unit itself. for people who already have the unlimited access of the zune pass, this gives the ability of downloading music anywhere there is a wifi hotspot. oh yeah, the wifi capabilities have also received an upgrade too. not only can you now connect to you home network for the purpose of wirelessly syncing your zune. now you can jump on any free wifi anywhere! granted, you cannot sync your zune to pc from just anywhere. so it is not truely location free, but still that is pretty fantastic. top that off with radio tags and i think you have a win.
the nice things about the radio tags would be the elimination of trying to remember a song for later download. with the ability to identify songs, already built in to the zune fm capabilities, the zune can now tag the song on rtd and rt friendly radio stations. it then drops them in a cart for later purchase. if you have the zune pass most of these songs will automatically be free. for those of you with a zune pass, you also know what i mean by "most" -- i am glaring ominously at you disney. then when you are at home, or come to a wifi hotspot you simply open your cart and download them on to the unit. this also works with the available friend share option.
will there be a zune phone in the future. i really hope not. it would seem like such a colossal waste of time and effort. looking at the iPhones, for all the fanatical mayhem and hype surrounding them, the idea is ver poorly thought out. they limit the the mp3 qualities to make room for a phone. now if this advent had come after the first iPod i would have been like, "wow, amazing, this is incredible!" however, the iPod as gone through umpteen generations and no vast improvements have been made. if they did make a zune phone, henceforth i am calling it the zhone. the h does not have to be there, but i want it to be. at any rate, the zhone should need to be a mp3 device first, and a calling aperature second. i do not even know if i used that word correclty. i am faily certain i did not. a slide out qwerty keyboard would be fantastic. especially to compliment the in zune marketplace access. i suppose if there was internet access, i would have to give the iPod its due, the browser is fantastic. anything less than that on a competing phone would be substandard. one last thing, if you are going to have toouch screen capabilites. for the love of gawd and all that is holie, include the stylus functionality. not all of us have tiny girl fingers like that ass hat steve jobs.
p.s. -- a special note to bill gates, stop making those ftw commercials where you paraded around in orange makeup over yout pastey complexion with jerry seinfeld. i am pretty sure people don't know what you're trying to advertise. have you been taking notes from sony?

i wanna be where the people are
ok first let me start off by saying, staring at people on the bus is rude. it is also very creepy. i am never sure what to think when people appear to be staring in my direction. i just hope they get off the bus before i do.
secondly, despite catching the bus on time, it has been a terrible morning. my alarm went off late, which is strange to say the least. so i was running behind because of it. i could not make lunch because i did not have the time. i forgot to drop an important letter in the mailbox. worst of all, i managed to leave my zune at home. my zune is one of the few things that make riding the bus barely tolerable. without it i feel defenseless against total strangers who want to have a rousing discussion about knows what. when all i want is to have them shut the fuck up. plus, without it, there is no music to listen to in the morning at work.
i am also extremely exhausted. i am not sure why exactky. last nights was one of the few nights where i got to bed at a reasonable time. so maybe the lack of sleep from earlier in the week is taking its toll on me.
it is the last day of week two in the inspection countdown. after today i will have little more than a week left before i go to visit me family. i should probably get my ticket soon.

te regalo amores
yesterday i attempted to upload a video to youtube of these kids getting kicked off the bus. i say "tried" because i have sent the item several times and it has yet to post to my account. it has also failed to send me any kind of confirmation notice of it being the video being received or posted. i am not sure what is going on with that. hopefully it will post sometime today. not that it was hilarious, but i just you really have to earn being kicked off the bus.
i am not entirely sure what transpired, but at some point whatever these kids were doing earned them a verbal warning. i had my headphones on, so i did not even start to pay attention until the driver had initially stopped the bus. i originally had thought the bus was having problems, and the driver was explaining what was going on with the bus. so i took out my headphones, and these guys shouting obsceneties at the driver. they also were claiming they have the right to do so because there no signs on the bus that say they are not allowed to do just that. the driver left the bus motionless for a while as she continued to encourage them off the bus. needless to say, my bus was late yet again. here is the best part, after the driver resigns her stance against profanity, we begin to move once more. within two minutes, we end up approaching a squad car that has just finished pulling over someone who was presumably speeding in the school zone. the driver pulls the bus over, and the results can be seen on the video, if/when i ever get it to load. that was some instant kharma if i ever saw it. i hope the driver ends up ok, considering only a few months back a student attacked a driver for just such a reason. to think, the only reason i was even on that bus was to avoid dealing with this type of thing. the bus in the afternoon is literally mobbed with these students. i am told there is a school for wayward youths in the area. so let me get this straight, these are kids who have been deemed unfit to attend regular schools, but it is ok to have them run amuck on a public bus. that school needs to provide its own transportation for these students before someone is seriously injured or killed because some jackass does not know how to behave in public.

do the smurf, do the wop, baseball bat
so imagine how shocked i was to find a positive comment on my youtube account. pretty frigging shocked i can tell you. not only was there someone who did not flame me immediately, but they also agreed with me. i am not exactly sure on what, i think it was the part about her siding with cajcameron for no apparent reason. i certainly hope they were not commending me for blatantly attacking someone verbally via the web. that would just be akward.
ok i need to talk for moment about fantasy sports for a second, because there a couple of guys at work who are far to into it. first, i thought the whole point of being interested in sports was to be more jock than in real life. the so called "armchair quarterbacks". yet there are tons of guys essentially playing dungeons and dragons and claiming it is manly and a also a sport.
here is the portion where my implodes due to excess stupidity. let me explain. since, when has using your imagination ever been consider to be a sport? sudenly every four year old is an atheletic ocerachiever? plus, from what i can tell, it is not some that you can even actually play. the premise is to pretend to draft a team, composed of people who are not even on the same team. then after that, here is the most exciting part, there is no after that! you just sit around and wait for results that you have nothing to do with. what the fuck is that? that is not even a game. that is like picking people for a dodgeball team , and then waiting around to be eliminated by having a person randomly draw player names out of hat. who came up with this shit?
on my list of things that irk me, this is right up games whose entire gameplay is for you to create a game using it. who thinks these things are a great idea. the fact is, this idea is so dumb it is bound to be huge. just to prove that this is as nerdy as i am claiming it is. head over to jinx and check out their line of fantasy sports tees. nerd jocks, never has an idea been so confusing since the creation of the 2,000-calorie salad.

this is a jetsetter music letter from me to you
so i am standing on the threshhold of mm pending transfer from my current job locale. i still have not reached the point where this has all become exciting. i'll give reason why, because it has not actually happenned yet. that is reason enough for me to believe that it will not ever happen. i cannot simply hope that things will work the way i plan them. my life is not that fortunate. if i hope and plan for things to just work themselves out, they seldom do. when i attempt to force something it usually ends up being worse. my life is essentially the premise of "that's so raven", except that i do not have unique ability to actually see vague snippets of the future.
the weekend was relatively standard, played some video games, watched some tv, forgot to get my bus pass for work. i had the chance to see a few more episodes of heroes, still a good show. i cannot believe that one season is so long. i mean each episode is roughly forty-five minutes long, and season one is about twenty-three episodes. that is quite a great deal of time.
i was running behind this morning, so i missed the first bus out. instead of waiting for the next bus to come along, i walked fifteen minutes to the "alternate route". i generally do not take this bus, even though it can potentially still get me to work on time. the last time i took it, however, it made me exceedingly late. late enough to make me think that walking to the busstop was the better option. do not misunderstand, walking is not a bad thing, i do it all day at work. it is probably one of the last things i want to do early in the morning.
some good news, the guy currently holding down the position at the store i am transferring to is doing a bad job. i guess that does not sound like good news, but it does make me a better candidate. there are is something very important about my job that you is kind of a must. my job is one of those "somebodies gotta do it" types, and it suits because it is indireclty customer service related. it is like being one of those guys in the film credits that you are not quite sure what there job is, but they are not the dooughnut guy. so when i say my job is important, it is, but it is only notable when i am doing it wrong. if you are doing things correctly, then nothing will stand out to make others take notice. they noticed a few things about the new guy. needless to say, he was doing something wrong. which brings me to the one thing you must do in my position, and the thing is to never make up imaginary product that you cannot locate. it is a terrible thing for the store.

some good news, the guy currently holding down the position at the store i am transferring to is doing a bad job. i guess that does not sound like good news, but it does make me a better candidate. there are is something very important about my job that you is kind of a must. my job is one of those "somebodies gotta do it" types, and it suits because it is indireclty customer service related. it is like being one of those guys in the film credits that you are not quite sure what there job is, but they are not the dooughnut guy. so when i say my job is important, it is, but it is only notable when i am doing it wrong. if you are doing things correctly, then nothing will stand out to make others take notice. they noticed a few things about the new guy. needless to say, he was doing something wrong. which brings me to the one thing you must do in my position, and the thing is to never make up imaginary product that you cannot locate. it is a terrible thing for the store.

stop and stare, you think you're moving but you're going nowhere
so the weather up here has been subpar for the last few days. with rain, and an overall cooler temperature, i find it hard to believe that within the last it was also eighty degrees outside.
along the lines of strange events, a couple of coworkers have inquired about what it is i do at work. not in an insulting manner, but because they are interested in taking the position when i leave. while still others insist encouraging me to stay. which is not going to happen several reasons. most of which revolve around the fact they were being such unreasonable dicks regarding my transfer. i think if i ever tranfer again, it will be out of state. most likely to someplace warm, like mexico or puerto rico.
i also have recently been approved for a car loan. i was browsing their cars, and the only vehicle i was even interested in were their used smart cars. the downside, even though i was "approved" for an amount that would completely cover the cost of the vehicle, the car is still more than twice what i want to pay for a car. now if the had some compact kias or toyotas i would be all over the opportunity. even though the fortwo is compact in size and fuel efficient. it is not so great that is blows away the competition. essentially, it is not one of those things that are expensive upfront, but you save money on daily use. so i will probably pass on the whole deal. i may still call to inquire if their inventory includes any of the vehicles i am interested in purchasing.

...carring me olientar, offensive to me
i just read that in australia, the government authorizes the deaths of two million kangaroos anually. i am not really in aplace to say this an atrocity, for several reasons. first of all, i find it odd that they are willing to kill the kangaroo at all. its like their national bird. i also was not aware that there where even two million kangaroos worlwide, let alone in australia. do they outnumber people there? i could not even imagine how this i possible. plus, they must reproduce at an alarming rate to even keep up with the slaughtering demands. this would be odd as well, becuase i am fairly certain that they only reproduce with typically a single offspring. i am no zoologist thoug, so i am not a hundred percent on that fact. i will have to investigate this more when i get home.

cause i wanna come over
so i had a chance to talk with my manager about being able to go home at the end of the month. i needed to why i was not able to go home. after all, at the end of the week i would not be working there any longer. i did not actually bring up that last part, but that was pretty much my reasoning.
so the manager said that they have to have everyone there for monday, tuesday, and wednesday. i am not exactly sure what for, even though this is my third inventory inspection. if is anything like the other two, i will not even be allowed to work on the monday after. nobody who performs the inspection is allowed to because it is not typically over until the wee hours of the next morning. we also never used the days after for anything. although, this will be my first time as a member of the inventory team. so there may be something additional. i am positive that i do not have to go in monday because i do not usually work sundays. i will have to be allowed an additional day off so that do not exceed five days, and forty hours.
at any rate, now i have to plan so that i get my trip home on the bus overnight. i am pretty sure that is possible. due to the vast number of times i have taken the bus to that area, i know there are basically two times to arrive or leave the local station. my job is to get there very early in the morning so that i am there in time for my niece's birthday. also, considering the fact that i have drive back the same weekend, i may want to get some rest before i have to be on the road.

could it be i've stayed away to long
so yesterday, when i got home from work, there was a very disturbing picture posted to my email. i wish i could post that here. mayhaps when i get home later i will see if can cut paste it on the blog. a one "lynettafajita" also know as lynetta cromwell. who are these morons who keep putting their names on the internet. at any rate, she had some less than flattering things to say about myself, as well as a few other people who responded to cajcameron's post about katy perry. by "responded", i of course mean "disagreed with" cajcameron. if you have not checked out the video, it can be found at youtube under "lynettafajita". i wish i could post a link, but again it just does not appear to be something my phone is capable of doing.
on a lighter note, our prep for inventory has taken a turn for the worst. aside from the person being "in charge" only having worked there for a few short months. there have been several printer malfunctions, my manager has shot down my request for leave, and i have spotted several errors regarding inventory prep. i have gotten to the point where i do not care what happens at this point to the store i am currently. i would love to say that my banal attitude toward my job is a result of short-timers, but it is not something so simple. any input i try to offer as far as the whole prep process has been immediately cast aside or ignored. despite the fact they might just possibly be good ideas, there is no certainty in that becuase change is too hard to encourage at this store.
i do not doubt that they have the store's best interest in mind. even though it does not appear to be the case. in fact, the store's best interest is seldom taken into consideration when you look at the steps being taken in the few weeks passed. all in all, when the time comes for the actual inspection, i will of course have to be there. i am not sure how long it will take, or how long i will be rquired to stay there. i do know it will be an all day event, and will go on long into the evening. so would imagine i will there for quite a long time that day. kind of like the day after thanksgiving.

i just want to know what it was like
so this day, and by proxy this week, has started off terrible already. i got up early this morning with hopes of getting to work early so that could leave earlier in the day. the longer i am at work in the afternoon, the more time it takes for me to get home from work. ate some point it jumps from an hour and a half, to as long as three hours. quite frankly i do not like the people i work with enough that am willing to waste that much of my time working with them.
i will still be leaving early because i must. there really is no choice considering it is a bus holiday and their hours are more idiotic than normal. thus my plans to arrive at work early have been effectively thwarted. i am not sure why they have holiday hours for the holidays that most businesses do not close. i mean honestly, the drivers have to come to work regardless, what point it is to have them work irregular hours for one day.
it is not as if anybody even celebrates labor day. having a bar-b-que does not qualify as a celebration. people eat everyday, changing the way you cook does not make it special. shopping at the sales also does not make it a celebration. unless you are celebrating the fact that you are greedy and cheap. so what exactly is the point of having all these holidays where outside of the bonus pay no one gives a fuck? i think they just designed withe the sole purpose of pissing me off.

and i know there'll be nights filled with tears
ok, i ended up doing a system restore on my computer yesterday, and fixed my antivirus and spyware. they are seemingly functioning well for the time being. i also managed to finally get my zune to sync. after a couple of false starts, i decided to wipe its memory. in the end i wound up losing about 350 or so songs. technically they are still on my pc, but it giving me one of two error messages for the songs that it is not capable of syncing with. either the song has some bizarre licensing issue, where it says i no long have the rights to the songs. the reason this is "weird" is becuase those very songs were just on my on my zune a scant twenty-four hours before. the other half of the list falls under a mysterious unknown error, so i am not even sure where to begin there. for now it is more important the device is working again properly, and no longer seizing up whenever it supposed to play sarah mclachlin. not that i really was worried about my inability to hear her anymore.
so i had some tummy trouble while i was waiting on the bus this morning. after a quick jaunt to the house i went back to the busstop to wait on the next go round. then the bus was late. which resulted in me missing the bus connection after it. so needless to say i am little peeved because instead of showing up fifteen minutes early, i am going to be at least fifteen minutes late. what really pisses me off is that when i was originally standing at the busstop, i did not catch a bus, leading me to believe that it was running early. the bus i take is near a turn around point. so essentially, if i miss the bus, i can wait about twenty minutes, and the same bus will be passing by in opposite direction. so how is it the same bust goes from running ahead of schedule to running about six minutes late. that is what is really pissing me off about the whole situation. if the bus was running on schedule, then, in theory, the two busses should have arrived at the same time, or at least fairly close one another. i cannot wait until i transfer to grafton, and i have a car again. also, i will be able to carpool with my roommate. either way, i am only going to use the bus for things outside of work.

i'm just a regular everyday normal mutha fucker
ok, yesterday i was having some huge issues with my zune refusing to sync with my computer despite several reboots of both items. my computer is also having its own unique issues. none of which i can describe because i do not know what they are exactly. it is kind of the same for the zune. i am not sure whether it is the software, or the device itself. it could even be an outage of the service altogether, but everything else with the downloads remains intact. i am not able to check my account status however, so i find that to be a bit strange. if it is in fact my zune device, that is not such a huge issue because it can still be replaced or fixed. i have minore problems with it here and there up until now, but nothing this problematic. if it is something else, then i guess i will just have to wait it out.
the other issues involving my computer involve at least freezing. i have no idea what is causing it to freeze either. the entire system does not freeze up at once either. it just seems to freeze one thing at a time. plus, my malware software is also malfunctioning due to some yet unknown anomally. to top it all off, it was not allowing my to shut the system down properly. that is never a good sign.
i went in early yesterday, because the day before the bus was either running early and i missed my connection, or it was just running extremely late. i suppose a third scenario was that the bus route had changed, but that would strange that it would just shift scheduled times in the middle of the week. of course, stranger things have happenned. i was once told by a bus driver that if i was ever late because of the bus, that i could call the bus line and report and they would send an excuse of sorts to my employer. although i cannot think of one instance in which the busses have ever admitted to being late or being at fault for anyone else being late either. even when the bus never even showed up. in fact, i remember once when i called to complain about a bus not making a scheduled appearance. i was told that the bus had to have gone by because i was the only person who called to complain. that is not even logical reasoning, or if it is, then exactly how many people have to call and complain before it is actually an issue? is it like a missing persons report where i have to wait a suggested number of hours before i can report its absense?

i'll do whatever it takes
so i am guessing the new bus schedules have gone in to effect. at some point (four weeks from now) i really will not have to care about that anymore. for one thing, i will be driving again, and occasionally car-pooling to work. i also will be at a location that i cannot get to via the bus system. even if i could, i do not think i would be interested the unholy amount of time i can only imagine it would require to get there.
after speaking to my mom about my upcoming travel plans, she apparently wants to come here again because she has the time off. i guess she will be visiting my aunt pam as well. still no word of her actually moving. not neccessarily here, but at this point she just has not moved anywhere after selling her house in evansville. so i do not know what she is planning to do with that.
i need to get into my online courses asap. i am pretty much just tired of not being able to have option of doing things that i want to do because i do not have a bachelor's degree. granted, when i actually have a bachelor's i do not plan on using it for whatever studies i achieved. that would be cool too, but honestly i still just want to travel overseas. i would like to do that without actually being deployed. so step one is to get a copy of my transcript.

shouldn't a girl who's so good inside have a matching exterior
so some updates, i still do not have a check from the irs. i have not recovered my binder from the milwaukee county transit system. in fact, the busses are eating my stuff. i still cannot figure out how to send an mms from my phone to youtube succesfully. although, i have managed to get the video to record sound. most importantly, i only have four weeks left before i go on vacation and transfer stores. of course that means that our inventory deadline is also fast approaching.
i had a fun weekend, i just barely watched the first season of heroes. to all the people who assured me that i would like the show. your assessment was fairly accurate. i can see how people could become enamored with the characters and storyline of the show. i only made it to episode ten, which is impressive in one sitting considering how long the episiodes are. there is also a parody on youtube from the show madtv mostly mocking hiro over exuberence and clare's main role is to see how many ways they can maim her in the episode.
i think my favorite part of riding the bus are the intoxicated morning crew. and holy shit, does this guy have beads in his fucking beard?! who the hell even does that?! i mean honestly, a scuncii in his ponytail, and beads dangling from his chin. he cannot possibly have a job. at any rate, i think it is great that people riding the bus in the morning on their way to work still reeking of booze are the best in the world. what i cannot figure out is how they manage to go through the work day without someone pointing out they smell like a distillery. but i suppose that most employers at just greatful they came in at all. although, it is odd that they are kind of rewarding their negative behavior. then again, i suppose that is easier than finding someone to actually replace them at their job.

aint supposed to die on a saturday night
the good news is that another week is drawing to a close. the bad news is that still have not received a check from the irs. if i do not have one tomorrow when i get home from work, i suppose i will have to call them yet again. i am not sure if have mentioned this or not, but recently another letter arrived from the irs telling me that should have received my money from them by now. the obvious flaw with this is the fact that is like the fourth notice that i should have received my money from them. if they honeslty thought they had sent me money, i doubt they would keep sending me letters to remind me of that. then again, this is a government agency, that may actually be someone"s job to sit around all day and mail defunct notices to people.
the reason i need to call them tomorrow, is that i have been informed (via the letter) that i should receive the my check within two weeks of the of that notice. a brief glance at my previous post would show that i have been told that i had to wait two more weeks on multiple occasions prior to this one. this is the great part, by my count it has been about eighteen weeks. that is just a tad over the two week mark. oddly enough, whenever i call i am told that the person has misinformed me. then they apparently go on to misinform me as well. it is like i am in that movie labrynth where i have a choice between the two doors, i can only ask one question to pick the right door, and one of the doors always lies while the other is consistantly truthful. i guess i keep picking the wrong door. to be perfectly honest with you, i am pretty sure she fell into a pit when she picked the right door. so perhaps it is also a no win situation. like cleveland brown said, "nobody actually wins, you just do a little better every time around."

i'm breaking my back but it's all good
i am so tired this morning. i have been trying to go to bed earlier, but at some point i realize this is impossible because then i have a less than productive day. i work at least eight hours through the week. that is pretty standard. i have an appauling fours of travel on the bus system. pending that the bus that i am on at the start of my trpis, does not cause me to miss the bus i need to complete the run. so we are looking at twelve hours being spent on just work alone. so much like when i was in school, i try to use my bus time to do any tasks that can be done there, blogging, reading the paper etc... in order to get the optimal number of sleep hours, i need to cut out another eight hours. tha leaves me four hours a day to do things. of course, in the morning i use forty-five of this to actually get ready for and eat breakfast. longer if i did not make my meals the night before. toss in dinner prep and consumption, and i am looking at about two hours of free time. so it very unrealistic to think i can do anything during the week. things that typically this means i either have to go to bed with unfinished tasks, something that will surely result in me not being able to sleep. i can just complete things and sacrifice the sleep time. i usually avoid doing them until the weekend if at all possible. because of the gas hikes, some employers have considered a four day work week. if that ever happenned to me, i would have to shoot someone in the face. presumbly that geeksquad guy because he deserves. he is in the mac cult.

never had a love like this
since i was not able to recover my binder, i will have to order a new one from playstation. not really a big issue, i just kind of wish that if someone was going to steal it that they could have at least turned in the paperwork from the binder. did they really need that? at any rate that is pretty much the conclusion of that.
i have to start planning for my trip to indiana at the end of september. i know most people do not plan so far ahead for what will essentially be a weekend at my family's house. knowing me as well as i do, the longer i wait to do something, the more potential it has of going disasterously wrong. i am not even sure you can use disasterous as an adverb, but i did it anyway.
i also think i really need to acquire some geeking out friends. people i can just hang out with on the weekends for movies, tv, video games and the like. i really have not made many friends since i have made it back to milwaukee. so my weekends are rather banal.
i was reading a story in the paper about people who have decided to change their methods of transportation to work. of course many people had changed from cars to motorcycles, which would be the more obvious choice. others have taken to biking. one gentleman even complained because they are just barely getting a bike rack. he also mentioned that he has to plan to arrive early enough to shower when he gets to work. hold the fucking phone! you have a shower at work and you are honestly griping about bike racks? i wish my job had a shower there, trust me, some of our employees could use it. this douche bag probably is not even one of the many people who feeling the pinch from gas prices. he probably chose to ride a bike because he finally figured out that a gas guzzling s.u.v. is not the vehicle best suited for city traffic. seeing how the market is so saturated right now with other morons who are coming to the very same conclusion, make it highly unlikely that he can sell it. "i have plan to shower at work", stfu you big crybaby. you have a shower at work, how dare you complain about that. some people are having to choose whether or not to buy groceries or the gas that it will cost to get those groceries home to feed their families, and you are crying about waking up early. i hope he dies of ass cancer.

'cause andy you're a star in nobodies eyes but mine
so i got a chance to call back to the bus station to check up on the location of my binder. no dice, it does not appear to have made it there. so i guess i will ask the driver of that route if he saw it, since he is pretty regular. i am not certain if he would remember, but it could not hurt much to ask. the binder is not really important and can easily be replaced. i cannot replace the paperwork inside which was primarily a layout of the task i had to complete before we actually have our inspection. i technically could replace it, but it would take far too much time to do so. at this point, with only five weeks left and only ten actually days for me to do any of the work that i need to schedule, and the fact that i am a day behind due to a printer malfuncion. i will just go with saying that they are not able to be replaced, and just wing the rest of the set ups.

i'm the freakin' corndog king
so a little bit of an update, my binder has not yet been recovered by the bus system. the person who answered the phone encouraged me to call again on monday becuase apparently they only move them on a weekly basis. so the thing i lost yesterday may not get there until then.
my manager did not show up until an hour after we were supposed to be at work. i am not certain why it is that our management team cannot arrive on time to work ever. one manager opens monday through thursday, he is always early. the other managers split -up who open for the other three days. but they cannot even arrive on time for that one day out of the week. i think that is rediculous. to add to that people have been fired for showing up minutes late. so for the next five that i have left, i will be logging the opening manager and the time they came in to the store. then i may have drop that information off where it could be useful.

i hear in my mind all of this music, and breaks my heart
apparently, at some poing along my ride home yesterday i abandonned my binder. the best case scenario is that i left it on the bus and the bus driver grabbed it for lost and found. worst case, i left it on the bus stop and it was snatched up by gawd knows who. while i am fairly certain that i did not leave it on the busstop. i am not entirely hopeful that someone turned it in to the bus driver either. i will not know either way until their offices open so that i can call their lost and found. no presuming they actually have it there. i really have no idea how i am going to go about retrieving it because i work monday through friday weekly. considering they have banking houes for customer service, i doubt they will have anybody there on the weekends.
another week is coming to a close at work, leaving me with five more weeks before i can transfer stores. also, after preventing the transfer of myself and other employees. it has come to my attention that they are trying to force another employee out of the store. one of the very same employees who was trying to transfer out of the store anyway. apparently, they feel he is "uncontrolable" as an employee. how does this work with them saying how much they needed people, and that we are all great employees. i mean it is not as if this sort of thing happens overnight. if they thought that person was such a crum bum before why not just let them transfer when asked. why is it they suddenly are aware of his/her uselessness now? also, if you think an employee is terrible, why would you encourage another store to take them off your hands? could it be that you had already planned to fire that employee, but when word got back to hr that you were premeditating their termination and so you had to come up alternative methods rid yourself of said employee. now i am no conspiracy theorist by any means, but i find it strange that would suddenly want to pawn off the very same employee that you fought tooth and nail to retain. needless to say, after i resolve my issue in the "case of the absconded binder". i will more than likely drop a bug in someone's ear about the current goings ons.

poison in my cup
yesterday was faily decent up until the end. all this would have moot had i just gone out for groceries this weekend instead of trying to go during the week. at any rate, i had to pick up some orange juice and milk. it had been raining yesterday morning, but had since stopped. then the temperature rose to around seventy without actually removing any of the overcast. so it was fairly muggy by the time i was off from work.
i trekked over to pick'n save from best buy, made my purchases and headed back out to the closest busstop. on my way to the busstop, i began feel like my left asscheek was wet. i looked down and discovered that my bag was leaking. i opened it and found that my powerade had unscrewed itself enough to cause a slow leak. it had also coated my right show with powerade. luckily, i had actually left my binder at best buy, but more on that in a moment. it was also a good thing that the book i had purchased was in a plastic bag. everything else faired wel due to the fact i do not usually keep things inside the large pouch that are not foodstuffs.
eventually, the bus showed up, and i patted myself down in a fruitless attempt to locate my bus pass. it was just gone. most people at this point would retrace their steps. i was almost positive that i had taken it out at work and left it in the warehouse. so i hiked back up to best buy, found the pass, headed back to the busstop, and headed home. it was almost like that book "alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day", except i am sure there was some resolution at the end of that back. in my case, it just did not get any worse. sure, the cat puked on the floor, but at least it had not puked on my pillow.

i'll be you boyfriend 'til the song goes off.
good news everybody! yesterday, while i was at work, i was talking to our microsoft rep and he told me about a n awesome app for my zune. the short version is that combining some different microsoft enables my zune to play video games. i usually try to keep up on all of the gaming news, but at whatever point this happenned, it went completely under my radar. there does not seem to be any major development as far as this is concerned. all of the games thus far have been pretty much those that you would expect to see that hobbyists have spent time making from games as old as time, tetris for example. this is great because there are so many games that are designed for simple interfaces such as cell phones. these are titles that becuase of their simple control schemes have the potential to end up on the zune. i was also given some hopefully positive news about the future of zune. i will not say anything about it because it is not my place to do so. i certainly hope it is true, and i will patiently for a more "official" announcement to discuss it more.
the software that being used to create/emulate games for the zune is also making waves in the 360 live community. this software, referred to as xna, finally allows some people to create games that will be available via xbox live arcade. the benefit to gamers is that this will introduce a new medium of xbla titles that they in fact have the potential to create. the benefit to creators is the potential to introduce money to their wallets. who knows, there could be some great titles to come out of this. i am also sure this will also open the floodgates for a lot of terrible games. hopefully nothing worse than the wii.

hey there delilah what's it like in new york city
so anyone who knows me would definitely know that i am not a big fan of smoking, or tobacco products in general. i can find few things that are more disgusting than a person toting around a dr. pepper bottle of brown spit. then, a woman this made me realize something, people do not through cigarrettes away. no matter where they drop them, they pick them up, occasionally dust them off, and presumably put them back in their mouth. the woman on the bus dropped hers on floor, and then let it roll around a bit while she chatted with the bus driver. before she took her seat, she snagged the cancer roll-up.
now do not get me wrong, i like wiping my mouth on the inside of the city bus as much as the next person. well, if that next personally were legally insane and prone to hepatitus i might. since none of this applies to me, i do not worry all that much. what i fail to understand is this: smoking is one of the most harmful things you can do to yourself legally. yet people are willing to compound that by adding the swill found in the public transportation system. what makes people want to do that?
i do not want to get all preachy because i really just do not understand the allure of smoking. here is what it appears to be. people are taking leaves, smothering them in tar, wrapping it in paper, setting the whole thing on fire, and then putting it in there mouth. why does this seem healthy to anybody? all medical issues aside, did nobody else learn that in a fire, people are more likely to die from smoke inhalation than actually be burned to death. i mean they teach you that in like after you master primary colours. if you never grasped the idea that smoke is bad for you, i cannot help but think that when you are suffering from illness later in life that is all your fault. stop blaming tobacco companies. as far as i cant tell, people have been encouraging others not to smoke since grade school. more importantly, thank you for picking up you smokes because i hate litter. can you also pick up the butts and throw them away?

fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars
i watched the opening for the olympics on friday evening. i would personally like to thank china for trying to induce a mass coma to viewers around the world. i am guessing that was their goal. even when there were shots of the audience that were in the birds nest, those people appeared to be bored and disinterested. i was a little relieved to g.w. impatiently looking at his watch from the stands. i can honestly say that i was bore to tears, and had to fight off sleep to even finish. i do not think that i have ever seen the opening ceremonies of any olympic games, and the commentators claimed this was one of the better ones. if that is the case, i will not being watching them in the future.
ok so the bus broke down again this morning, so i had to grab the second bus out. at some point i would imagine they should start question the people who are inspecting these busses. luckily, for me at least, it was the second bus. so i should still arrive to work on time because an additional bus arrived shortly thereafter. the bad thing is, even though the bus routes have the same starting and stopping points, they do not neccessarily travel the same path to get between them. so i imagine that there are several people who will not get picked up at all until the next bus comes around. plus, the busses keep breaking down for the same bus driver. i kind of feel bad for her because she is the reguklar driver, and is fairly nice to everyone. now if that other lady was in a bus that broke down, i would probably laugh and spit in her face, in no particular order.
today begins the coutdown to the inspection for the store's inventory. i have also recently discovered that i am not responsible for it in any what-so-ever. this puzzles me, seeing as the only reason they are allowed to keep me in the store was for that exact purpose. i find it strange that someone else will be given the responsibility of the task (someone that the store has dubbed as quite the idiot i might add), and then i still have to stay here. i am not sure i can understand it. at any rate, it is one less thing i have to spend my time on. plus, it now is ammunition for me not to help with any exhaustive tasks that are not specifically related to my job. tasks like providing insight on how to set things up for said inspection.

i want to feel you from the inside
i think there was a day i did not blog this week, and i apologise for that. i believe that was the morning i was watching american dad. i also think that was the day i got cursed out by the bus driver. a good time was had by all. coincidently, i still hope that sour piece of cunt dies after living through some horribly excruciating accident in which her beard is torn from her chin.
slightly related to that, i am honestly tired of the busses i ride to work on a daily basis making me late for work. over the past weeks they have been consistently breaking down, getting a flat tire, what have you. i already have to put up with this crap during the winter months simply because of the road conditions. hopefully, by the end of septemer i will finally be behind the wheel of a car. this will become more of a neccesity because i will be at a new store. a store i am fairly certain i cannot get to via the milwaukee county bus system. i also need to get my glasses before then. i think after reading paperwork all day my eyes are far too fatigued at the end of the day. after all, in the morning i am capable of blogging on my phone. so they are clearly fine then, but when i get home i can barely read my computer screen.
the state fair is still going on here in milwaukee, and i am pretty sick of that as well. apparently there is supposed to be some sort of city ordinance prohibiting people from using their front lawns as parking lots. since this happenning anyway, i would gather that this really is not enforced. this causes a huge issue with trffic being backed up on one of the more useful roads. also it a road that is used by the busses, and therefore has been causing all sorts of issues with picking up, dropping off, or even seeing passengers at the busstops. i will be glad when it is all over and arab fest kicks in so can get a henna tattoo and smoke the hookah. i wonder if they will have a booth where you can stone someone to death for prizes. i think that would be pretty neat.

hey santa, why don't talk about it, work it out
ok just to catch everybody up to speed. on tuesday i smashed my pinky in one of the cages at work on tuesday. of course, since it was me, i had smashed it in a rather unusual way. the doors on the front of what are affectionately known as shark cages slide past each other. somehow, i managed to wedge just my pinky between the two doors. this was the pinky on my left hand by the way, so not entirely a big loss.
then, yesterday when i went to sit on my desk i cut a chunk out of the pinky on my right hand. i know that sounds kind of unnatural, but our desks in the warehouse are actually just metal shelving. so the fact that i cut myself on metal shelving is not that suprising. what is suprising was the fact it only happenned because i sat on my hand. now i am not one of those who is not aware of how accident prone i really am, but i fear for the safety of my pinky toes.
yin additionm yesterday morning i was verbally accosted by the bus driver becuase she refused to let myself, as well as other passengers on or off the bus. this one deserves a little back story. recently there has been quite a lot of construction on the north side of milwaukee on on of its main roads. so the bus route has been altered several times in order to compensate. what has not occurred is the transition or positioning of temporary busstops to replace the ones that bus no longer travels by. so for the most part, the bus drivers were picking people off in close proximity to the bus stop heading opposite direction. so one of the other regulars asked to be let off. i would usually get off at the same spot since our jobs are a short distance from each other. the bus driver refused to let her off. so we passed best buy to the intersection where a stop would be if there was no construction going on at the moment, and i asked to be let off as well. again she refused. so then we began arguing about why she had some issue with letting people off the people. despite that i could see the busstop sign, and regardless of the people who were standing at the corner waiting to get on the bus. she also reminded me that they were monitoring the bus with audio and surveillance equipment. she then told me she could have the cops come out. "for what" i shouted, "you're the one who won't let us off the bus!" eventually, she did let us off the bus after making me significantly late for work. she refused to let any of the people waiting for the bus on at that point, and drove off to her next destination. i was bot able to call in a complaint yesterday becuase i just counted on them being open later than a bank. turns out that was a horrible error on my part. at this point, i need to stop riding the bus by any means possible. i have even considered biking to work until fall. i honestly need to think of some way to encourage people to boycott the bus for one day. perhaps i could use my influence over all things canadian to enourage others to do so as well.

i got yo boyfriend mad 'cause imma flirt
ok i am exceptionally vapid about some recent video game news, but becuase i am so animated about the subject matter i think it best saved for a vlog.
instead am going to talk a little bit about work. so i have only a scant seven weeks left at my current location before i am allowed to transfer. i could easily, at this point, go into a rant about why i am only allowed to transfer, and i basically have no rights when it comes to working, save the right to choose unemployment. i could, but i will not. in the next several weeks i am going to prepping the store's inventory for inspection. this means counting the most inane shit from here until september twentieth. all while dealing with the regular idiotic ebb and flow os customers. plus trying to avoid helping the people that best buy hires to work at best buy, but are too poorly trained to do the tasks required of them.
so after this whole inspection process is over, i am planning to go visit my family in indiana for, basically two reasons. i have not seen my family in quite a long time. it is also the same week my niece is having her second birthday. she is so grown up and sassy by now i am sure. at any rate, i have several reasons to be perceptively happy until then. the key is, can i maintain my sanity until then.
here is the main issue with position in the store. if i do not do the tasks that i am scheduled to do, then they just do not get done. i am a one man team, for as far as that is reasonable. so when i shove customers into the lap of someone else who is either not doing anything, or they are busy doing nothing. it is only partly because i am being a asshole, and quite honestly i do not feel like helping you. on the other hand, none of the computer gus are going to help out with any of my work. hell, i cannot even get them to clean and maintain product in their departments. so why is there a double standard for inventory? i mean we do not even have training geared toward any type of merchandise we carry in the store, but are expected to sell it to people. i am not exactly sure how this works, but since i do not readily give two shits about the northridge location. i have resolved to either contacting people to help customers, or avoiding areas with unattended customers whenever possible. the exception to this, of course, is the media department. usually becuase they are the most understaffed, and they are the least likely to receive any help even though they have the largest department. perhaps it is because they are not a department that is force feeding people big screen tvs. plus, the questions in media are often either price or location related, and therefore can often be solved within minutes. as opposed to other departments where you have to spends tons of time giving people information about an item. i really do not have that luxury of time, and i am sorry in advance to anyone that i do not help as a result.
people often wonder, "why popcopy?", and here at popcopy we say "fuck the customer! :D"

this is my hit song, this is my one chance to be a rockstar
can you believe people are still writing me from canada . not one of them yet has been intelligent enough realize that when i was talking about cajcameron's post that it has nothing to do with canada. i did not even imply that his subpar "review" was even related to him being from canada. this is how idiotic this collective group, of what has to be canadians, honeslty thinks. now i can imagine if i had said, "his review is awful at best, then again he is from canada. that is probably journalism at its best where he lives." what i did say was that canada is not a real country. i mean honestly, i know they are in the fundamental "awwww, at least their trying kind of way". it is almost as if their entire half of the of the continent is one huge special ed class. what is more, cajcameron also calls the eastern portion of canada the fattest and dumbest part. did any of them say anything then? there were not any responses that i saw that mentioned it. so where is the beef? is it because i am not a loser from canada? it is not as if they are a race. unless they are a race of braindead inbreds. that certainly would explain the fact that they all regurgitate the same idea in response to my post.
ok so today did not start off bad at all, but due to the torrential downpour i had to run through to get on the bus, it was not a great start either. also, something about riding the bus for an hour and a half tends to make me have to use the restroom. it does not matter if i do not drink any water, or if i drink a gallon of water. in the end, when i finally get to work i feel like i am going to wet myself. today it seems worse than ever that i have the urge to urinate. it is none too helpful that i am soaked through to the marrow. now the busses a/c is starting to get to me as well. the clothes will dry, and i more than likely will not get sick from being soaked for a while. the only thing i am miffed about being the fact that i just washed my clothes yesterday.
in other things, the threat level for my roommate's cat has gone from meager annoyance, to general dislike, and is now resting at comfortably at hateful exuberance. i have to admit i am not much of a cat person, but this cat is wtfomfg exceptional. between, what i can only describe as night terrors, involving the cat running around at late hours wreaking havoc, and the most annoying yowling i have ever heard. it reminds me of the garfield strips where he would sit on the fence and cause a vocal ruckus. if i had to imagine what that sounded like, i am pretty sure this would be damn close. to top it all off,as if that were not enough, the cat thought it would be in her best interest to eat my fucking sandwhich. now i do not know about you, but that is officially crossing the for me. the cat is officially scammin' for a choke-slammin'. i am glad my roommate thinks that it is great that she she is so rediculously out of control, but i, on the other hand, could not disagree more. i should not worry much, i mean the worst that would happen would involve me buying a spray bottle. why is it that i have an awesome roomie, and his cat is a total douchebag? i am going to write a children's book entitled "my roommate's cat: the story of a tiny d-bag".

i've been sitting, waiting, wishing
so a quick follow-up to the plubming situation. before it was just a matter of things not going down the drain in the tub. now, the tub is beginning regurgitate things. it all appears to be stuff that should not be in a tub either. i really hope that some point there will be some action taken to fix this.
in the youtube news, people are still challenging my verbal disagreement with what cajcameron had to say about katy perry. here is the thing though. not one of them is about katy perry. they are all criticizing me for saying canada is not real country, and how i called him a wangster which i totally have the right to do, be is obviously is. i think they are completely the point of what the post is about. i cannot help that some douchebag decide to go on the internet and start calling people lesbians, and saying it was garbage. what is amazing is that i also called him a homophobe and not one person has even mentioned that. adding to all this is the fact that all of these lame asses are coming to my post to do it. i did not even post this as a response on his page. that means people are watching his piece, then finding my piece, and then posting in my part of youtube. i am currently composing a rebuttal.

que no creas mas a mis promesas
ok there is something weird going on with the plumbing at our house. first of all, whenever we use the tub, the water sprays all over the place in the basement. it really does not bother anything since the pipe it is spraying from is not near aynthing. the basement is also not carpeted, so that is a non-issue as well. i think that they were supposed to have a plumber come to fix it at some point. i am fairly certain that has not happenned yet, or if it has, the plumber did a terrible job of it.
the other strange thing is related to that, only in the opposite way. for some odd reason, the bathtub does not drain properly. this issue is completely out of the blue, and i am not sure what could be causing it at all. also, how is it possible that the pipe is both leaking and clogged at the same time? that is like having dirrhea along with being constipated. is that even possible?

some things i cannot change, but 'til i try i'll never know
there is a group of people who subcrontracted to best buy. i am not entirely sure what their job, and from i can tell, they are not sure either. unless, their job is to come in to the store and completely fuck things up. i think they might be doing it wrong. much like many of the best buy third-party "helpers" (i am looking at you secret shoppers), they completely lack common sense. on top of that, none of them have any training to do whatever it is they are supposed to be doing. they carry around paperwork they seemingly cannot understand or read. if they are given a map, they have no concept of how it is supposed to work. they have to be "supervised" to prevent them from boning the situation which, given a minute to themselves, they are likely to screw up anyway. add to that fact, none of them can use any of the computers or systems in place to do their job. i swear to god one of them asked me if print screen still worked. what the fuck lady? when was the last time you used a computer, the early nineties? are you going to be looking for our dot matrix printer next?
so here is the end result of having these third parties "helping" our store. since they are incapable of working independantly, they are paying them to have a best buy employee do their job for them. this is to supposed prevent best buy employees from doing these tasks. clearly, that plan has failed miserably. if it is like anything like any other job, the third party persons probably make more than our standard employees. which is weird considering that they cannot do the job, because they are braindead. thanks best buy, i am sure all the money you are wasting on these d-bags and their daily mistakes could not have been used for something useful. like one employee who knows what the fuck they are doing.

i don't mind if you don't mind
ok, so i have decided that i am wasting entirely too much money on certain things that i use every day. or on things that i never use at all. as a result i pretty much end up living from paycheck to paycheck and that really needs to stop. some of the most expensive things will not be cut out entirely. i will be cutting back to the less expensive, and therefore less desirable versions. for example, bottled water, instead of buying the water i typically get, i will just have to settle for the plain water. which is disgusting by comparison, but i really do not think i continue this especially if i plan to ever get a vehicle. i have not purchased any new video games since april. i have decided that the only way to get them at used prices. even i try not to spend more than fifteen dollars on one. the awesome thing about where i live now is that it includes my utilities. now if only we could get the cat to stop turning the toilet paper into confetti we would be set. i do not go out at all since i have been here. it is way too expensive for my tastes. so my social expenses are nil with the exception my cell phone. i clearly cannot that out because i need it, and i also have a contract. there is not a whole lot that i can back, but i know i have to make cut backs where i can. of course, if/when i can get weekend job, all of my expenses may be a little bit easier to manage. i am not that point yet. a lot has to be cut by the end of september. at which point i will have to have a car for work when i transfer stores. which will free up one thing that i do not have a lot of at my current job, and that thing is time.
i spend about four hours of my day traveling to and from work. that leaves me four hours to myself. factor in the time i am actually at work, and i essentially spend twelve hours for work, and i am only paid for eight of them. i do not even live outside of the city. my commute is rediculous. oddly enough, a car would more than halve my time of travel. there certainly is not much that can be done in four hours a day. considering at some point i also have squeeze in two meals and what little excercise i can manage to do from home. eventually i would like to finish taking classes, but that is rediculous at this point. even if i took online courses i would only be able to manage one or two at a time, and that would be just another waste of money. oh, and my brother wants a ds for his birthday because his was stolen. i am pretty sure that is not going to happen. well i am not going to make it happen. not unless i get run down by a nintendo truck.

ok kathy... you look like a kathy
ok, after posting a vLog yesterday, some dillweed decided it was in his best interest to come over to my neck of the web and flame me about. how sad is it that someone i have never met or interacted with before, feels he needs to talk to me, and everything he has to say is negative. the poster found my post because it was about cahcameron and his distaste for all things different. the guy who is flaming me is apparently riding caj's dick, and cannot stand when people disagree with him. unfortunately, he is not a formidable adversary since his vocabulary is limited to "hahahahaha" and "homo". i am not exactly sure what to do except respond to his comments without sinking to his elementary level. if i had my guess, i would say this guy is somewhere between the aged of four and fourteen, and that his mom has probably walked in him more than once rubbing one out. he is one of those angsty white kids, who listen to whatever music pisses their parents off the most in a vain attempt to get them to pay more attention to them. then again, that is just the vibe he gives off.

they call it a "fly" because it takes you up to heaven
so in annals of small victories, i can finally say i have overcome the rediculous prerquisites set forth by my gm. now all i have to do is manage to stay sane for the next two months. oh, i also need get him to sign the paper affirming what he said he would do. i swear to everything holy, if he does not sign it now, and if i can restrain myself from kicking him in the face. i suppose will have resort to calling the useless department of hr to accomplish more of nothing. honestly though, if he refuses to sign it again, and hr also does nothing, then i will wish very hard for the store to burn to the ground with him inside.
at the end the month (september), i am going to visit my family in evansville. it will be around the time my niece will be having her second birthday. hopefully by that time, i will have finally received my money from the i.r.s., but at this point i really do not expect to see it until april of next year. i figure at this point, they are working in tandem with f.e.m.a. regardless, i have not seen my family in quite a while, and i think this would be the perfect opportunity. plus, i missed her first birthday last year, but only because i was at work. this year i plan to take off for that week, so that i have plenty of time travel there and a few days to visit. also, the last weeke of september will also be my last week with my current store. coincidence? i think not.

i reckon it is again my turn to win some or learn some
ok, so as far as i can tell, the human resources department for best buy is at best inefficient. i guess the only humans they are inerested in helping must be in a certain pay bracket. even though i am clearly being mistreated at my store, and i have tried to amicably remove myself from a bad situation. my gm has unnecessarily blocked me at every turn. i attempted to so through hr, but, because there are in fact worthless to me as an employee, simply sided with him doing no investigation what-so-ever. as a result, two actions will happen. technically three, although being a disgruntled employee is in direct relation to my transfer to this location.
step one is that i am going to make vague hints as to whether or not i will be working there anymore. the other is tear down his wall of lies that he has built. mostly the fact that he sees me as a valuable employee. now it may be true that i am a good employee, but i hav yet to receive a raise or promotion for it. i find it hard to believe that he finds me to be such a great employee, but the only paperwork he has to show it is a negative counseling. on top of, he denied me the full time position for which i had transferred. he claimed there was no longer the availability of that full time position. then he immediately relinquished that same position to another employee. afterwhich, he promoted that employee to supervisor of that department. do i sound valuable yet? let me add to the fact they also cut my hours, and were not even paying the standard pay rate set in the state. that's right, i moved from a state with a standard/cost of living. also something that i was offerred before i transferred, but never given.
how about now? not valuable enough, i will continue. to add to that, he put me on a final notice for my first incident, ever! in my entire history with best buy i had yet to be written. i am at his store for less than three-months and i am on a final?! so eventually, i manage to get out of that spot he forced me into, by the way, i had already contacted hr about this. you will be amazed to know that nothing came of it. i took a position, one that i really enjoy for the most part.
the supervisor transferred to a different. was that position offerred to me? no. was it offerred to one of the warehouse seniors? no. it was in fact given to an employee who had never even worked in the warehouse. as the supevisor, he had no training for the department. in fact, the gm in question said this person was "incappable of doing the job", and cited this as reason for denying me a transfer. yes that is what he said. he told me he hired someone incappable of doing the job he hire him for. apparently, none of these are reasons to suspect any behavior as out of the ordinary. so my goal for the next two months is to contact hr daily until some investigation is actually commenced.

1/3 The Critic - From Chunk to Hunk
a coworker and i were talking about this at work. a common running gag from the tv show was the kid from easter island. i don't even know how i got on the subject, because as result we began talking about the scene featuring him about halfway through.
i liked you before you knew me
i am sorry for the lack of updates. the crap i have been dealing with at work has been consuming my free time. because i am not being allowed to transfer, i have resolved that it would simply be in best interest to simply quit. i have no respect for the person i am working for, and he has been the center of all my major problem since i transferred to this store last year. my full time position was taken away, it was him. they cut my hours via his instructions. when they practically forced me to take another position in the store, he was behind that as well. now this, i just cannot imagine working for him any longer. at any rate, i am still waiting to hear back from hr on the current matter since it has yet to reach a resolution. hopefully, that will involve me having a second job, and not just replacing my current one. i also plan to contact hr daily, since they seem to rest on their laurels when it comes their job, and quite frankly i do not have the time or patience to deal with it anymore. at any rate, my bus time has been primarily spent browsing for the classifieds for new vocations.

dearest, darlingest momsy and popsicle
ok lately i have been receiving the oddest of email. in the last few days i have had several email addressed to a Yee Ling. the first time i got one, i sort of dismissed it as spam. like the time great uncle mumbatu died and they had to wire all of his riches to me, his only survivng relative. i could go into detail how many things are wrong with that statement, but i will not. i will say this, of the six members of my immediate family alone, none have passed away. this is not about me though, this is about Yee Ling.
ok the first thing i noticed about the very first email would have been the sender. typically, the sender and the senders adress do not match i any way what-so-ever in spam, this one did. on top of that, it was also an email from a .edu, which is more than likely a college professor or student. add to that, the fact that i was the only recipient. i mean, that is hardly spam if you only send it out to one person at a time. of course this could have been a particularly smart spammer, and they figured out the importance of the bcc. if that was the case, everyone else on the list would now have an email that says it was directed to me. what would be the point of that?
as far as the actual body of the email. it did not really ask anything of me. apparently, they just wanted to congradulate her on her success, and thank her for work she was doing to help the children in mongolia. what kind of scam is this? it does not even ask me to respond. so i looked up miss Ling on the internet. turns out she is a mong pop singer, as far as i can tell. her music is probably not the greatest in the world. so it is probablt a good this she is charitable.
this would have been the end of it, except i now have a second email to Yee. there is a similar theme, but it is not the same letter by any means. again, there is a matching email and sender, and again i am the only recipient. i will say this, i did try find an email address for her to see if it was very similar to my own account. alas, there was no email there to be discovered. i will keep track of the emails for the next couple days just for hell of it. if i get any new information, i will try to forward the email to her.

someone threw away a perfectly good white boy
i do not really have the ability to commit to a blog this morning. i will try to make up for it this evening. it may be noted that i am posting a little later than my normal times on the bus. i finally got approved to change my availability at work, which a blessing. no more do i have to get up at three in the morning just so i can make it to work on time. so yay for that, my next big thing is to get a vehicle. perhaps a scooter, although, it would definitely qualify for my deathly fear of two wheeled vehicles. i take that back, i fear motorized two wheeled vehicles. also, i would have to look into one that is highway capable. i am aware that some are not, and that would essentially be useless to me. worse case scenario, i can look into motorcycles, but considering their prices, i may as well get a car. which i would have to get anyway for the winters up here. damn me for not being able to write just a few lines.

remy, the amazing technicolor wondercat
ok some time ago i talked about my roommates cat tearing up the toilet paper, which has become an invetibility. i also mentioned that in order to get to the toilet she would have to seemingly open at least one door. then i kind brushed it off as rediculous. so get this, yesterday after work i was feeling a little drowsy, so i decided to take a nap. when i woke up, the cat was in my room, pawing around muy tv. now that may not seem strange to you, but i always close my door so that she will not go in there, whether i am there or not. mostly because i do not want her in my room because she is a total terror as far as i am concerned, what with her clawing and chewing on everything. she is also extremely furry, and i would rather not have her fur everywhere in my room. on top of that, she does this whiney meow thing, that would be likened to noises coming from a yappy dog. it does not really sound like barking, but it is just as annoying. i swear, when i was a kid, the cats we had were never this intolerable. i am sure she is it more than likely doing it for attention. however, it only results in making me want avoid her alltogether.
at any rate, becuase i am beginning to forget what i had begun posting about. i find her in my room, i pick her up, set her back outside, and close my door. at this point i am guessing that i had left cracked, and she simply slipped in that way. then later, while playing culdcept saga (which i will bitch about some other time) i heard a noise that i could not identify. i had resolved not to look into it, because secretly i believed the cat had done something that would only serve to piss me off. this later proved to be exactly that scenario.
so when i get up this morning, i find the the bathroom door cracked open. my first thought is holy fucking shit, the cat has somehow opened the door and i am going to find shredded toilet paper everywhere. that is pretty much what happenned, but not only am i pissed-off that i had to clean it up yet again. my mind is blown, because this cat i opening fucking doors! on top of that, what in the fuck is so appealing about toilet paper that she feels she the need to go through all this trouble to get at it. is it coated in, or made from catnip? i mean i really do not understand. she has cat toys all over the place, but she goes about, opening doors to claw at toilet paper. this also leads me to believe that she doing it deliberately to piss me off. i know that last part is a bit of a stretch, but the cat is opening fucking doors! who knows what else she may be capable of doing. she is probably also reading my thoughts, and trying to steal my breath while i sleep.

a little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now
so i was asked an interesting question at work yesterday. is there any benefit to having animation on blu-ray. which i am pretty sure the answer is no. of course this would only refer to traditional animation, and not include cgi movies. since most cartoons and animated films are generally two-dimensional works. i cannot really see how this would be affected by something that seems to only enhance things in the third dimension. if anything, since the big push for high definition, i have noticed a lot of oddities on animated shows i already watch. of course, maybe that something that is corrected on blu-ray. even knowing that, it is hard for me to think of any recent disney films that came to blu-ray that were not either live action or cgi. i guess i will have to check on that today at work.
i spoke with hr yesterday, and there does not seem to be any progress being made on my behalf. thanks for nothing hr, literally. now he is supposed to contact me again this afternoon after calling my current gm. here is where that seemingly idea fails. he was supposed to contact the gm and inventory manager at the store to which i was supposed to transfer, and call me after he did that. this never happenned, in fact, when i called to check on the progress, he did not even return my call two days after that. fat lot of good that does for me.
on top of that, my coworker finally got approved to transfer to the new store. yet, even though she would be getting a promotion and a pay raise, she is so miserable to leave our store. at least that is what our gm has been telling the services manager at the new store. honestly, what the fuck is this guy's problem. i mean seriously, does he really think he can retain her in the store by telling lies and speaking for her. i resolved to talk to her a little more, because maybe i am misinterpretting her enthusiasm for something else. i do not think i will mention that i have spoken to the manager at the other store, and what i have heard. i will encourage her to contact them and not let our gm represent her. apparently he is doing a terrible job of it.

pillow pants is her pussy troll?
so i was originally going to post yesterday, but i ended up watching clerks 2 on my zune. now, i do not actually remember what i was going to write about.
not much has changed for me in recent days. or the irs and megabus, neither has given me my money. although megabus has offered me a free ride, what would make them think that after all their crap that would ever want to use their crappy service again. the news from hr has been spare. i am guessing they have not really done anything. plus, the message i received yesterday was essentially to let me know that they called. why do people leave messages like that? clearly if they leave a message they must have called. so what, if any, is the point of leaving a message to say that you called.
so my roommate's cat is starting to go crazy again. oh and she managed to shred two rolls of toiletpaper while i was at work. how is that even possible? where the hell did she even get a second roll? it is not like we just keep two rolls laying around. this means she would have to open a door or cupboard at some point. i am not sure why she keeps attacking the toilet paper anyway. it was bad enough when she started unrolling them on to the floor. so when we stopped putting them on the roll, she began just shredding them entirely, and she spreads it all over the house. eventually, it became apparent that the toiletpaper need to be locked up, but now she has some insane mysticall power to get at that too. i swear, if this was my cat, i would have gotten rid of her by now. maybe this is why i do not care for cats. to be honest though, we had cats when i was growing up, and do not remember it being so awful. add to that, the yowling, and it is like living with someone else's two-year old kid.
on sunday, she went into his computer room and knocked over a cupe of soda. then she perched herslef on the desk and just stared at the puddle. i mean wtf?! i mean it is not as if i expected her to clean it up, but if she can open doors. it is not like she was drinking the soda, or even attempting to do so. she apparently just pitched it off the table so she could watch it pool. i can hardly wrap my mind around the fact that she is simply throwing fits, but i also have not been able to come up with a better reason.

i missed the bus, ow, and it's something i will never, ever do again (hopefully)
all joking aside, i totally missed the bus this morning. it was one of those mornings where i was up on time, but i was kind slow gathering my belongings in time to get out the door. the sad thing is, that one minute that i was behind will make me an hour late for work. i know that sounds rediculous, but it is due to the lack of frquent trips the busses make before a certain time of day. i believe that is sometime after sunrise. this is one of the many reasons my job has become an inconvenience to me since i moved, and also a reason that i wanted to transfer. the other reason being the idiots that run the store. hopefully, this is something hr will be able change for me. i called them about the issues i have been having with trying to transfer from the store, as well as the issues i have with the store since moved here.
that is pretty much it for today, i finally managed to unlock a new passage in castlevania, so i want to play it some before work.

when you begin to realize, you know you've got your daddy's eyes
so i made this note for myself to talk about my other blog. i am guessing was supposed to be for my vlog. i am not entirely sure. here is my reasoning for this being the "other" blog. first, i pretty much post all my vlog posts on this one as well. so if you are already here, you have pretty much seen both. i really do not have a second reason to think about this, except one of my friends was not aware of me having a second blog. actually, i suppose this would be the primary blog, and the youtube would be secondary. it is a good thing i do not have three, because i simply do not like the word tertiary.
it is kind of chilly out this morning, so it blows my mind why anybody would be out wearing shorts at this time. on top of that, what is it with wearing shorts and a coat? i forgot about some of the weird dress behaviors here. like during the winter (this actually seems to be a problem amongst idiots countrywide) there were people wearing sandals. in the winter! in wisconsin! that is just asking to lose a toe a frostbite. it is ok though becuase they are wearing socks. wtf?! what kind of sense does that even make? if anything, your socks are more than likely to get wet, and you have cold wet feet. oh, to everyone who thinks sandals are so great, i want you to bear this in mind. if your feet stink, do not wear sandals. in fact, do me a favor and stop wearing open toe shoes all together. i, for one, am sick having smell you funky feet when i am in public becuase you do not know how to operate the faucet in your bathroom. i have said enough about that i think.

well this is a song, and these are the words
looking over my mental notes i realized something. i have yet to blog about my new room. which i fully intend to do. i think it is something that would work best in a vlog though. not there is a lot to my room. in fact there is even less now. i will say this, some immediate upgrades i would like to make involve my bed, and some shelves for my dvds and video games. i may also look into getting some sort of rug. the house is pretty much hardwood floors at the moment, which i feel like i am damaging every day. especially while i am asleep, i just imagine how much harm i am doing if the bed slides about from my restless sleep patterns. at any rate, i will try get back into vlogging at the earliest, perhaps making making them a weekend thing.
some exciting news for my dvd collection, well potentially exciting. fox tv series box sets are on sale for around seventeen bucks this week at best buy. i am not really sure i will be taking advantage of it, but if can scrounge up the cash for them. i would like to get the most recent seasons of family guy and american dad. i persoally enjoy both shows, and i have all the sets up until now. they have been out for a while now, but i typically wait until they go on sale for a considerable amount. with the decline of standard dvds and the rise of blu-ray, i also feel that is not needed to pay more than ten-dollars for a dvd anyway. i can almost justify buying dvd sets for twenty because they typically are more than one dvd, and have several hours more viewing time than your average movie.

it's gettin' much harder to say "no" and even harder to say "yes"
i founf out something interesting today about the pick'n save stores in my area. the first being there are more nearby than i had expected. the other being that the one physically closer to my house is requires a longer bus trip to get there. it takes at least fifteen extra minutes to get to than the one that i could litterally walk to in about thirty minutes. strange as that may seem, there are various reasons i do not simply walk to the closer one. for example, today it is raining, and would really rather spend as much time as possible under some sort of cover. in addition to that, getting there would not be all that much of a challange, but carrying two-arms full of groceries is an entirely different matter.
one of my less than legitimate gripes of late has been with the vitamin water commercials. not only are they one of the worst bottled waters you can buy on the market today. not only do they taste like watered down kool-aid. on top of these reasons, they claim that they essentially can make celebrities successful. and, until the recent appearence of carrie underwood, all of the ads victims had been black celebrities. i say victims because that is how they are portrayed. they were only capable of being basketball players and rappers until vitamin water unlocked their full potential. again the exception to this is carrie, who apparently starts as a country singer, and ends up becoming a hillbilly. to be honest i did not notice much of a difference.
oh, i also remembered my mental notes. mental notes are written reminders to myself on whatever paper i happen to be packing around at the time. amazingly, even though i call them "mental notes", they are typically things i feel i have very little chance of remembering in the first place.

this was not the way i planned, not my intention
ok, i was completely exhausted when i got home from work yesterday. between getting up super early and not going to bed early enough, i seem to have overloaded my system. so i took a nap to refresh a bit. anybody who knows me, knows why me taking a nap is silly. i tend to just sleep instead. so when i took a nap yesterday, i woke up at four this morning. i had to be up at four-thirty, so i went back to sleep until my alarm went off. another great thing about my phone, the alarm does not have be set every day. i can just set it for the entire week at the hours i need. is there an alarm clock that does the same thing? is there is, then i need to purchase one.
ok, katy perry finally has dropped her album. it gives me the impression that i am listening to lost tracks from pink. most notably misunderstood. you know, the one where she changes her hair from pink to black, and gets all goth. needless to say, if liked "i kissed a girl" i think you will enjoy the rest of her cd. however, i think motley crue cd was kind of weak. with the exception of "saints of los angeles", i feel the rest of the cd seems to be lacking in comparison. perhaps this is why they changed the title of album to "saints of los angeles" from "dirt". i am not saying that the rest of the songs are dirt by any means, but this was clearly on situation where they put the best track in the foreground. i feel the same about coldplay's latest. both seemed very enticing from the title tracks, but there was not much substance after that.
on the work news forecast. i think this whole thing has gotten out of control. so much so, that manager involved is supposed be encouraged by outside forces. did he ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe he might be being a total dick about the situation. oh, by the way, a third person has been added to the list of people who wanted to transfer. i am not sure what his deal is exactly, but like i said, i think it getting out of hand. i am not sure if i mentioned this before, but he has personal issues with one of the managers at the new store. he also thinks that she is trying to recruit and steal people from his store. which stupid because i do not even think she knows the third person involved. at any rate, i think it has come to the point where hr needs to be contacted. i know they are holding a spot for me there, and he has essentially proven to me that he can not handle the responsibilty of his job. i will try to list the results of my efforts.

say hello to the kite eating tree
so it is my first morning back on the bus since i moved to my new place. i have got to tell you, i am not entirely thrilled about the whole thing. considering that i may be doing this for quite a while, at least until fall. i told myself last year when i moved up here that i would not spend another winter without a car. i plan to live up to that. although, honestly, there are a lot of better ways i can spend four-hours of my day other than traveling to and from work. the only positive i am taking away from this is the fact that my morning bus blogs can resume. the difference being that i now have almost three times as much bus trip in which to do it. i do not know that i will have that much to talk about. another positive is that i will be able to become reaquainted with my nintendo ds. something negative that i noted, the mosquito population in the area will more than likely drive me mad.
regarding work, my new supervisor (and, with all due respect to my previous supe, i use the term lightly) begins today. at least, i think he i supposed to begin today. although, i am not entirely sure, because he got the position for a job he does not have the availabilty to cover. does that make sense to anyone else? i mean who says, "well, you are nowhere near being qualified, and you cannot work the required hours needed for this position. how soon can you start?" it is like the world has gone mad. due to the exceptions being made for him, i now have the ability to request more "accomadating" hours. well, they accommadate me at any rate. i swear on my samsung blackjack mark II, that if my request is denied, then i am calling hr to report the preferrential treatment.
also, in regards to hr, it has come to my attention that a number of employees from the warehouse have been put on the proverbial chopping block. one of the managers at my store has made it known, that several warehouse workers are going to be fired pending the departure of the now former supe. i am going on blogosphere record and saying that i know about their plans, and if even one person leaves the warehouse, i am reporting them to hr. this is clearly premeditated, shady behavior. i do not think they counted on there being so many gossips at work.
if you are curious why i am not going to hr yet. this is how our hr works, if you call them and report your leadership, they immediately call your leadership and snitch on you. that is right, the very people you are complaining about, are the same people to which they report. does that make any sense? how does that solve anything? that is like the principle of school, calling a bully, to let them know you dropped the dime about being beat up between classes. wtf?! so, the way i see it, if i call and alert them now, it will only be giving them the advantage of knowing in advance. that is not how i rodeo.
on a completely un-work related note. my favorite thing about my phone is that i learn all kinds of things about it everyday. i find that exciting, and omg gawd. is this chick putting on her make-up using her phone? gawd help us all. oh, and it is time for me to get a second job. fuck the i.r.s.!
