a little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now

so i was asked an interesting question at work yesterday. is there any benefit to having animation on blu-ray. which i am pretty sure the answer is no. of course this would only refer to traditional animation, and not include cgi movies. since most cartoons and animated films are generally two-dimensional works. i cannot really see how this would be affected by something that seems to only enhance things in the third dimension. if anything, since the big push for high definition, i have noticed a lot of oddities on animated shows i already watch. of course, maybe that something that is corrected on blu-ray. even knowing that, it is hard for me to think of any recent disney films that came to blu-ray that were not either live action or cgi. i guess i will have to check on that today at work.

i spoke with hr yesterday, and there does not seem to be any progress being made on my behalf. thanks for nothing hr, literally. now he is supposed to contact me again this afternoon after calling my current gm. here is where that seemingly idea fails. he was supposed to contact the gm and inventory manager at the store to which i was supposed to transfer, and call me after he did that. this never happenned, in fact, when i called to check on the progress, he did not even return my call two days after that. fat lot of good that does for me.

on top of that, my coworker finally got approved to transfer to the new store. yet, even though she would be getting a promotion and a pay raise, she is so miserable to leave our store. at least that is what our gm has been telling the services manager at the new store. honestly, what the fuck is this guy's problem. i mean seriously, does he really think he can retain her in the store by telling lies and speaking for her. i resolved to talk to her a little more, because maybe i am misinterpretting her enthusiasm for something else. i do not think i will mention that i have spoken to the manager at the other store, and what i have heard. i will encourage her to contact them and not let our gm represent her. apparently he is doing a terrible job of it.
