ok i think i finally fixed my time posting issue. i guess i will not be entirely sure until iactually post this particular musing today.

i may have run into a snag with my moving plans next. i have to do some more price checking to see if i can find a better deal somewhere. so far, i have a choice between Uhaul, and Budget for my truck rental options. although, Budget appears to be less expensive overall, i think their deposit is actually higher. which sucks, because i have a coupon for their business. they want $150 for a deposit, and i am pretty sure it is only a hundred at Uhual, or at least that is what I recall it being every time i have rented from them before.

of course this would not even be an issue if i had been issued my rebate already, but since they are clearly dicking around at the IRS i have to suffer.

the other thing that is causing a bit of a bind with moving is actually moving. at first i was going to take off from work, and go see my family, rent a truck there with my stuff, and head back to Wisconsin. this was before my stimulus payment was mysteriously cut in half, and is now currently m.i.a. so i have already taken time off that week, but i will not be able to afford both a rental truck and a bus ticket home. now, from the looks of things, i will not even be able to afford a rental truck. there is one thing i can still do. since i already have friday off, i am also pretty certain that is thirtieth, and that is the day i have to move out. because it is also friday, i will get paid that day. so what i may have to do is just wait until friday, rent the truck (with cash if possible - so that i do not have to wait to get my deposit back), and then see if i can still afford a ticket to go visit my family later that day. like i said, i really have to do some checking around, but i will see what i can come up with.

i still have not figured out how to use my phone as an external modem as of yet. the mobile guys at work seem to think that it is service that you have to pay for on top of the regular charges for internet access on the phone. if that is the case, then my email and Zune will have to wait until after i move. that is only days, so no big loss there.

so another of my coworkers is leaving for a different Milwaukee area BBY. they keep having these unofficial going away parties, but they keeping holding them outside of the city. sure it is only minutes outside if. however, if you do not have personal transportation, like me, you cannot get there on the bus. does this seem counterintuitve to other people. i am not the only person without car, so you think they would have it in a place where everyone can attend. at any rate, someone is leaving the store, and i have come hear that she does not really care for me. i am not sure what exactly i did to her. since i work closely with her on a daily basis, i try to i try to get along with her. i guess i have not been trying hard enough. do not misunderstand, this is a one way feeling of contempt. she does not like me, and i really have no problem with her. needless to say, she did not invite me to her get together. although, i am ok with her, i am ok with not hanging out with her because she has sometimes acted like a total c-u-next-tuesday towards me, and she has never once apologized. so i am not sure why i would want to be around her outside of work if that is how she acts when we are there. nerts to that.

so they replaced the harddrive in my computer, and it is now back at my apartment. phase one of my plans for world domination is complete. what are the other phases you ask? well they involve a vehicle, a new apartment, a rubber band, a straw, a paperclip, and a season pass to six flags. only mcguyver would be able to figure it out.

i still do not have access to the internet, except for what is available via my Blackjack II. i am trying to figure out how to use my phone as an external modem. it specifically says it is capable of doin just that. it even has a driver on its installation disk. here is th catch, there is, presumably, instructions about setting this up in the digital manual, but the digital manual cannot be used without internet access. *sigh* hopefully, when i call tech support this evening, they will be able to instruct me on how to set this up.

oh, something else i appear to be missing is the software disc for my Zune. i am not sure if i did not bring it with me, or if it is in storage. it would not matter much if i had access to the net, because it is downloadable free from the site. without that second option though, i kind of need the disc to use it. plus, it has been severely upgraded since the Zune launched. mayhaps it is in the basement with some of my other boxes. i will have to check when i get home after work.

ok so i didn't get all my groceries, my computer is still broken, mayhaps even more so than before, and amazingly, my laundry did manage to get done yesterday.

this whole computer thing has gotten me really frazzled. i mean i have never had a computer breakdown in such a short amount of time. pretty much as i see it, they have to fix it, and not just because i have the service plan that requires that they do so. i just do not think they will have another computer in the same price range that i can replace it with. i am also pretty sure we do not keep this model in stock anymore. so thwe options of what can actually be done are fairly limited. i do not even know if this a fixable issue, but i certainly hope so.

the strangest thing happened today, an "off-duty" bus picked me up this morning.
oddly enough, yesterday on my last trip home the bus was also "off-duty". even more strange, both drivers were very pleasant about it. in other cases, i have been on a bus when it went into the non running mode, and i practically got cussed out about it. strange.

this sunday, sunday, sunday! (part duex)

the second trip is finally complete, and i am on my way home from sam's club. i say finally because it took me around two hours to just get a case of water on some toothpaste. does that seem like an effecient use of time mcts? it does not appear effecient to me. i actually know that in that same aount of time, i could have walked there and back. i could have, that is if i was not carrying armfuls of groceries. trust me, i have walked to work before. i know how long it takes to get there on foot. the problem is the 23 does not connect with anything. i mean i could get off at any random busstop along this route on any given day, and i am almost positive that i will be waiting for another fifteen to thirty minutes. this would not be such a big issue if the bus did not stop and sit there on 85th for fifteen minutes. coincidence? i think not. maybe if the bus woul stop having such a random layover spot, by the way that is approximately thirty blocks from where the route begins, then maybe it would be able to sync up with other busses better.

so the first leg of my chore du france is done. i am waiting on the bus home. it looks fairly poor outside today. as far as the weather is concerned. hopefully if it is going to rain today, it either only rains when i am indoors, or at least rains after i go to sam's club to get my water and bathroom supplies. mostly because holding a case of water and an umbrella is damn near improbable.
since there is going to be a bit of a waiting period between the bus i am on now -- it came while i was typing -- and the next bus headed toward sam's, i think i will try to throw my uniforms in the laundry to get a jump start on those.

because i do not have a car, i tend to spend my weekends doing chores that require a great deal of time to do on the bus. for example, grocery shopping is a multiple trip endeavor, because i can pretty only purchase what i can carry. i also do not get all of my groceries from the same store. this is one of main reasons i use a bus pass and not bus tickets. so i will actually be making several little blogs today to pass the time.
last week a new cd by jason mraz came out for purchase. normally i would use my zune pass to listen to the cd first, and then purchase the cd later. it is a very convenient tool indeed. due to recent internet issues, namely i no longer have access to the internet (or a functioning computer). however, it was jason mraz, so i knew i already like his music. the problem arrived when i got home and realized that without my computer working properly, i have no cd player. *sigh* so as of today i still have not listened to the new cd yet.
i have reached my first stop, which is sav-a-lot. i am going to make a quick lunch stop a burger king and then head to the store afterwards. btw, in case anybody is wondering, for some reason the posts i do from my phone seem to show up at odd times. i really have no idea how to fix this.
