i've found a thrill to press my cheek too. a thrill that i have never, never known.

so i have finally received my first exam for the semester back, and it was a C. a high C mind you, but nevertheless, I got a friggin' C, and it was in Spanish. for those of us who do not know, i kind of plan to make that part of my major field of studies; if not linguistics or foreign languages. the worst part of the whole exam grade is that i was one point away from a B. one point! plus i really bombed on the whole vocabulary section. i fully intend to better on the exams to follow. i know i am not likely to get hundreds on all of them, but i need to get as close as i possibly can. i am not exactly sure what this may entail, but i will not finish this semester with lower than a B in that class. and if it comes down to it, and i am only one point from getting an A then i will argue it to the death until my grade is changed. I was really looking forward to another semester of good grades, and this C right at the beginning is really throwing me off. i have taken evening and online courses so that i would have plenty of time for work and school. i have taken care to rest properly and so far not miss any classes. so i am doing my part.
