S-O-C-K-S

ok kind of an update on my computer. not really much of anything changed. i think i may have struck upon something when i finally got the computer to tell me that all the information on my computer would be lost. i guess that it was its way of telling me the harddrive would be formatted. i agreed and the process. a scant ten minutes later it was 50% complete, but then it seemingly froze again. again i let the program run overnight, but when i checked back in the morning, the pross was still only half done.
this morning i decided i would use the windows to try formatting it. that seemed to have complete, and i followed up with installing the windows OS again. this time was a little different. previously, when i would try to install Vista, during the "expanding files" portion, it was constantly set on zero. now, for the first time, it was slowly growing percentagewise. since i have to go to work, i will not know if it was actually a success until i get home this afternoon. here's hoping!
in other news, my current roommate is systematically trying to drive me insane. from his random letters with the poor spelling and grammatical errors. for example, he apparently thinks that the "took" is spelled "tolk". wtf is that?! i would say it was the public school system's fault, but went to school here. i think he's just an idiot.
at any rate, he just randomly had the internet, and quite possibly the cable with it, turned off. this is more than likely due to his love hate relationship with his digital cable box, i.e. he was too stupid to operate it, so it was always malfunctioning. at any rate, this comes at one of the worst possible times. for crying out loud, i am in the middle of a grand theft auto event, and it requires that my xbox be logged in to track my status. *sigh* mayhaps i can get one of my friends to let me use their internet long enough to update my games status this weekend.

i'm going to crash up

someone very near and dear to me has fallen prey to some sort of awful malady that i can't describe.
for at least the past two days my computer has become tragically ill. i cannot describe what has happenned to it. apparently some sort of software upgrade has done it in. on tuesday, when the initial problem occurred, it eventually rebooted, but its performance was severely lacking. i shut it down, as i normally do, before i went to bed.
on wednesday the problem returned, this time more persistent than ever. no matter how many times i was asked to reboot the computer. it never seemed to be able to correct whatever malfunction from which it was sufferring. eventually, i called geek squad services for assisstance. even after several hours of help from one of their agents, i still had not discovered or was able to fix the problem. after a point, the geek squad told agent that i would have to completely recover pc from scratch. he explained, at great length, how the process worked, and that afterward my computer would have no memory of the past eight months. everything i had done with my computer since i brought it home would be gone forever. i agreed, and once the procedure had commenced, i waited patiently for the results. i was told it could take several hours before completion, and that i should call again if it was not a success. so i cleaned a little, blathed, still nothing. i had to head to bed.
when i awoke this morning, much to my dismay, there was a new error message emblazoned on my monitor telling me that the OS could not be installed, and everything would remain unchanged. i am not sure if there was something i was supposed to do during this process that might have inhibited this error. so i will try again later today after i get home from work, hopefully with better results.

i'm an amendment to be. yes, an amendment to be, and i'm hoping that they ratify me...

a little more of the april showers this morning. although, we are well into may. should we be done with april weather already? just one more reason to not own a motorcycle. another good reason not to own one would be the hummer.

while i was getting for work this morning, an interesting thought popped into my head. recently, there has been some talk of transfers to a new store that is opening up near the milwaukee area. i have been kind of asked to transfer there, and it will be available in august. there of course some stipulations to this of course. first, the store will be opening is not within milwaukee county. as a result, the bus doesn't go there, and, in turn, that pretty much means i can't go there. so the only way to get there would be to have a car. by the way, the common response to "i don't have a car" here is, "do you have a license?" is that even related? are they giving out free cars with licenses? i'm not sure why people ask this. i mean afterall, when i had a car, noone ever asked me if a had a license, and it was kind of mandatory then. i would say that money is the issue. but i could apply for a reasonably priced vehicle, and that would also allow me to get a part time job over the weekend. however, you cannot just consider the cost of the actual car, you also have to deal with monthly costs like insurance and gas. gas which is priced at retarded levels. i would love to own a smart car, almost to the level of obsession.
with all of this going on, my real issue is this. if i'm driving to work in the morning, then i will not be able to do my morning blogs anymore. even though i just started doing them, i would kind of miss them.

so i am complaining, is there anything really suprising about that?

so at any rate, i will not be getting six-hundred dollars, and as for the three-hundred i will be getting, it is unlnown when that will even show up. 'nuff said, horse thoroughly beaten.

the stuff that is being shown at the end of the video all came with my copy of grand theft auto IV, and somehow they managed to squeeze a copy of the actual game in there as well. i also just remembered that i left out the following items: a duffle bag with the rockstar logo on the side, and a keychain also of the rockstar persuasion. at any rate favorite item out of the bundle is the art book. it is kind of like a behind the scenes look at the making of different elements of the game, except you have to read it. *sigh*

also, i have a new phone, which i've talked about, but yet to show anything of, and i've probably only scratched the surface of its potential. i will definitely get around to that at some point.

in relation to everything that is going on at the moment. i will still, somehow, be managing to move at the end of the month. my trip to visit my family, howeverm has been indefitiely cancelled.

interesting news from the front page, a man has been charged for the theft of the flat panel televisions from the veterens affairs medical center. that is right, he took a tv from elderly veterans. it is a shame we do not still live in an age where we cut off people's hands for theft.

looks like someone's got a case of the mondays

actually it has been a pretty good morning so far. just in general, not just for a monday.
pretty uneventful weekend, some of my friends from work invited me to go out friday evening. later that evening, no one called me. so one of two things happenned, in scenario a: no one went out so there was no reason to call me. the other option being that people do not really want to hang out me.
either, i have been super broke these past few days because i was shorted hours from my paycheck. i have had to break into my ration of non-perishables. to top all of that off, when i was talking to my mom yesterday - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! - she mentioned that i might not be getting my stimulus check which is a real pain. there are many upcoming events that i would need the extra money for. i am going to be mvoing at the end of the month. the afore mentioned check shortage. the trucks i need to rent for moving. on top of that, most of my stuff is in evansville, indiana, so ihad to have some money to go down to get that. now it is to the best of my understanding, if you filled them correctly, and you received the letter from them, then you should be getting a letter from the IRS. so i should be getting mine, by this friday. but now i'm so sure, and so i feel i have to call to make sure they are not going to mail me some stupid check at the end of the july. for the love god, if i do not have my direct deposit by this friday i vow to call the IRS everyday and ask them about my check. what's the worst that could happen, they put me on the terrorist watch list? not like i will have anything better to do if i do not get my check at any rate.
