we'll say goodbye to the ones we know this is our exodus 0-4

Nobody's Watching OK Go

ok so thanksgiving has come and gone, but luckily, there is still thanxgivaway wiikend. unfortunately, i am actually about to begin working so i will not be able to watch the actual showings. but hopefully i will be able to catch the last part of it when i get home later this evening.

easy breezey, do you whisper to hide that you're feeling lonely

about a week ago, a friend and i stopped in the local Cold Stone Creamery. i have been to them before in Lexington, but this was the first one i went to where they sang a little tune. someone would say “hey, how about a song?” then everybody would sing some tune about Coldstone, layered over some familiar harmony i am pretty sure they do not have the legal rights to sing at any rate. so at some point while waiting in line to buy some ice cream i called out “hey, how bout a song?” i now know what it is like to have people stare daggers at me. or as my friend politely put, “you clearly were not part of that group. they looked at you like you farted on their best suit.” let me tell, they seriously looked pissed. i cannot imagine why, but trust me they did.

i also began training at best buy, but in the morning i am still working at the gap. of the two, it seems that the gap is more fun, mostly because i really get along with the crew there. however, both jobs are seasonal, and of the two, i am hoping to keep the one at best buy. it is the kind of job that i would really enjoy doing, especially in the media department, which is what i am training in. here is the rub, so far, it has been nearly impossible to get in touch with my supervisors. today, i was instructed on something for five minutes or so, before i know it, that guy heads home. it is so weird, it seems no one who works beyond three in the evening is a fulltime employee. they are all trainees like myself. does anybody else see anything wrong with that? is it just me? perhaps it is.

feast or famine

just quick post to let everyone know i still am alive, lol. no, seriously, i am not dead yet. a lot of new things going on right now, some positive, some negative. i am trying to grapple with them all at once.

i have had two job offers for this holiday season, that is a total of three jobs offered to me in the past four months. pending my urine in a cup, which i plan on doing wednesday this week, i will start my second job within the next week or so. i plan on turning the second one into a full time position if they will keep me on after the holiday season has ended.

oh, and on a totally unrelated side note, i am encouraging everyone who can read this to sign up for IMVU, a 3D messenger chat thingum. especially those out there interested in 3D design and development. on some of my blogs there is already an image link on the page. however, for those sites where i do not have the capability to do this, i am offering this alternative link, here. it is free to sign up, and free to use. it has a lot of nifty little tools, so give it a shot. plus, i will probably be plugging this a lot from this point onward, lol.

Boku wa Kuma, Kuma, Kuma...

ok, i need to get back into updating this on a more regular basis.

the artist of the moment should technically be Lisa, but since she has remained on page since i last updated, i am going to give her a short break. she may return in the near future. for the moment, Utada Hikaru is going to occupy the spot afore mentioned. English, Japanese, and to the best of my understanding French. Utada does them all. who knows, she probably does more. from cutesy, to soulful, hip-hop and techno, if she cannot do it, no one can. Utada Hikaru, the artist of the moment.

ok, my family is like a fugging reality tv show without all the money and sponsorship involved. none of the teary final episodes, or reunion specials either. moreover, i swear, if god thinks this is funny, i am denouncing what little faith i have left. work is not much better. it is a terrible day when you have no place to escape from your own life, because each separate part is as bad as the last.

positive things... well Akeelah is becoming more and more active as the days go by. i am not sure i have bothered to mention that my sister has birthed a niece since i have last posted. however, she has, currently weighing in at 8 pounds 8 ounces, Kiki -- as i have been known to call her -- is the tyrannical tiny terror of the wee morning hours. at least i no longer have to worry about over sleeping. although, to be perfectly honest with you, i think once i finish college and move on to my career. i will probably never talk to my family again. so uncle Barris probably should not get too attached.

i am seriously wishing something good would happen, so just once i could know what that feels like. i mean good as in, starts off well, continues doing well, and if it ends, it ends well. none of this half arsed, get my hopes up, only to smash them in to itty-bitty pieces. i often wonder if i am the knight on horseback sinking in the swamp, waiting to hit a solid bottom.

i also have not been working on my language studies as much as i would like. specifically, i am speaking of Esperanto. i would love to get back into it, but the problem of my computer freezing every time i open their revamped website has proven a difficult hurdle indeed. ah well, such is life, mine at least.

there's something about scary

good news everyone!

well at least from my perspective. in the month of October, i will be taking two separate weekends to travel about a bit. mostly for Halloween related reasons. in addition, because Evansville, Indiana totally sucks b@11$ and i would like to get away from it for no reason at all. that is reason enough for me.

therefore, for the sixth, seventh, and eighth, i should be visiting St. Louis. my sister may actually come on this trip with me, but it depends on if she is up and running again by then. the purpose of the random excursion is to see Lisa Lampanelli - the Queen of Mean in a live performance that a friend of mine has an extra ticket to, and he invited me along for the show.

nothing planned for the weekend of the 14th and 15th, so i will probably just use those days to stroll about in my boxers, lol. i love having days off.

anywho, on the 20th of October, my sister and i will be road tripping it up to Milwaukee. at least Gurnee, we plan to spend at least one whole day (more than likely the 21st) at six flags fright fest. the reason behind this is somewhat obvious. we want to go to fright fest, and six flags Great America rocks. in addition, we have not been to that one in ages, and we really want to go again. after which, we will probably return the 22nd.
note: other family members may or may not attend.

the last weekend of October, this goes from the 27th to the 29th. my sister and i, costumes pending, will be headed over to Lexington, Kentucky. to go and get crazy with my friends and homies whom i miss so much. we are also going because the clubs are better there and i know everyone. in addition, it is Halloween weekend, so it is sure to be a hoot.

so that is what is coming up for me. even though technically, i have a whole month before any of it even happens. i am looking forward to it. i hope to catch up with and run into many folks.

0.0

ok, i've been offline for a moment, so just a quick note. i now have access to the wifi again. so i will return to a more semiregular posting schedule. lot's of things have happened since i last posted, so i'm sure i will have plenty to post about. until tomorrow, Gis!

when the war is won, and the song is sung. you're still less than zero.

the new artist of the moment goes to Lisa Loeb. not only is she still around performing her indie butt off. she has since completed her second "reality tv" show on VH1 entitled number one single. she is also a featured artist on the recently released Japanese music trio Rin. she can be heard appearing on the track Anti-Hero and in the accompanying video as well. she can also be noted as performing in What a Pair, alongside with Nia Vardalos as well as many others in a fight against breast cancer. so check out her website, add her as a friend on myspace, and support her works by purchasing her tunes. Lisa Loeb, the artist of the moment.

recently it has come to my attention that Jessica Alba is in the city of st. louis. apparently, it is very common for movies to be filmed here in the city. why? i am not quite sure. at any rate, i can honestly say that i feel sorry for ms. Alba, or any celebrity who happens to pass beneath the arch. the people here have to be rudest, most obnoxious ingrates i have ever come upon in my life. moreover, it shows when they talk about others on the radio. the big discussion the other day was in fact about Jessica and how the filming was going or at least what they had gotten from hearsay and stalker like paparazzi techniques. however, they could not seem to cease completely ragging on the actress for being a total bitch. the complaints came from the opinions of callers or radio personalities. here is my major problem with their whiney behavior. their sources for the close encounters were less than credible, all having stories that happened to a friend of a friend who had heard from their cousin. in addition to that, they told a story about how on the set of Deep Blue, apparently Jessica was being molested by horned up male dolphins. therefore, she requested that they replace them with an all female dolphin cast. the radio crew then commented on how this makes her a total snob and primadonna. ok first off it is understood that i hardly ever listen to the opinions of anyone who calls into radio stations, as they are often just trying to be on the radio. secondly, i do not care who you are, if you are not comfortable with a face full of dolphin wang that does not make you a primadonna. in fact, the only thing i would find weird was if someone found being dry humped by dolphins completely normal.

in other news, i have started to donate something very precious to me... my time. since i have not been able to find an adequate job since i moved the little slice of hellhole americana, i have had to go about other ways of earning money. i recently had another interview, which is altogether another unsuccessful effort to obtain employment. being former military, it has suddenly become more than evident to me why such a high percentage of unemployed citizens are veterans. i could say that on some level, this sickens me, but i will not because before i became ex-military, i had not given the issue a serious thought. therefore, i have been doing what i can to earn extra money here and there, which involves me donating my time here in st. louis. as soon as i save up, i think it will be time for me to move away from this terribly unfriendly city. gateway to the west my arse!

trying to watch [adult swim] aqua teen hunger force

rounding off the posts with danger doom as the artist of the moment, if you still have not had a chance to got to [adult swim] and garnish a copy of the Occult Hymn. then i would encourage you to do so now. in addition, if you have myspace, you can listen to a couple of his jams there, and check out Gnarls Barkley as well. another project Danger is involved in.

in other news, it sprung into my mind the other day that i own several shirts that are all far larger than they need to be for me to wear them. what is the common factor in this baggy apparel? they all happen to be free swag. that is right, only fat people play video games, and watch anime. i think they should withhold all the free gear from dvd releases, and have people fill out forms to get them. i mean sure it is great that i have a shirt emblazoned with Saiyuki that doubles as a nightgown. problem is i do not wear nightgowns. i am glad that i was "free", and i am aware that i should not look a gift horse in the mouth. still, i cannot help but feel that since i pay for the dvds as well that maybe they should offer the clothing in varying sizes. perhaps that is just me.

i am thinking of doing some other blogs, each with their own focus on a particular subject. for now, there is this, which pretty much just covers the random meanderings of my daily whatnots. this blog is then syndicated amongst three other websites. the first of which is here at Blogger, because that is where i started. moreover, as i recently found out, it gives me some use of You Tube. this is handy as far as visual aspects are concerned. i also have just started a blog regarding my interest in Esperanto. for that one, since it has a particular theme, i actually plan to dress up the actual blog accordingly to match the interests of myself, and potential readers. this spurned me to do this with other things i used to chronicle back on Face Book. most of them were just to put information out there, but i disguised them as clubs, because that was easier to do. therefore, i look forward to doing something with those after the big Esperanto revamps.

i'll make mince meat out of that beat mouse

so Jessica Alba was the host of this years MTV movie awards, and i have got to say watching her do comedy sketches is somewhat unsettling. maybe it was her persistent smile and cheeriness made everything seem much more campy than it should be.

there was also a great performance from Gnarls Barkley. i would talk more about who they are, but really if you have not heard of them by now, you are not really trying.

i also defeated all that is Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. surprisingly i am just getting around to this game. they have already made two sequels. good points, it is pretty much a game that any one can pick up and play. the comic-book style cut scenes are beautiful, as is the style of the game itself. it appears to use cell-shading, but not as heavily as in other games. it appears more like a cartoon. downside, the master thief sprints are insane, and at times i felt it was driving me insane as well. pretty much the challenge is to make it through each completed two minutes. there were several times i wanted to cry. the reward for getting a hundred percent is totally not worth the effort. but as far as playing goes, they game is solid, the controls are not the best they could be, at times spot on, other times hit or miss. but give it a go if you have a Gamefly account.

in other news, a friend of mine from high school found my profile on myspace. i have not talked to or heard from anybody from high school since i joined the military. it was one of the highlights of my day. i am really glad that she got in touch with me. we have been getting reacquainted. i will spare you the details, but needless to say i am really psyched that she wrote me that email. see myspace is good for something after all.

I am Sofa King, we Todd Ed.

i just want to get all of my stuff about [adult swim] and all its related matters out of the way up front. Danger Doom’s ep is out, under the title of Occult Hymn. you can check him out at his site, on the [adult swim] site, and even on myspace. Occult Hymn contains some remixes of previous tunes, as well as new jams and skits for you to snicker too. it is downloadable for a limited time from [adult swim] including all the tracks and cd art for absolutely nothing at all. how can you beat that. you can not, not even with a stick.

[adult swim] has also announced that july 10th, much to the chagrin of most of its pot smoking viewers, that PeeWee’s Playhouse will be joining the line-up. if any of you were unfortunate enough to live through the first time, please join me in a well deserved WTF?! first Saved by the Bell, and now this? what’s next, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries?

Venture Brothers dvd is out, the Boondocks dvd will be here in july, and still no word on Harvey Birdman seasons two or three. for love of all that is unholy, i have waited long enough. give me the damn dvds. or at least downloadable version i can purchase on iTunes.

speaking of all that is unholy, a remake of the movie the Omen will be available in theatres nationwide today. nationwide meaning any place that the right-wing crazies who still have not stopped crying about the release of the DaVinci Code will allow. one such place that i am sure will have it, Hell, Michigan. after waiting for a thousand years, their day has finally come. that is right, i am speaking of 06-06-06, or to the layman and superstitious 666. along with the release of said movie title, Hell fully intends to celebrate the event all the live long day. apparently, the mayor of Hell (it is sentences such as this that make it hard to be serious about the matter) has a store in which items can be purchased for the nominal for of six dollars and sixty-six cents. you can also buy a deed to a one inch piece of Hell. but once the festivities of the Hell-ebration cease, feel free to visit the neighboring town of Andback, just to put things into perspective before your weekend with the in-laws.

on a completely unrelated note, i am totally obsessed with tiny cars. could i possibly love the Japanese, and their ability to make anything tiny and affordable. the answer is an emphatic, no. i am kind of surprised they have not yet figured out away to shoot cars out of a gashapon vending machine. but here is where this rambling is actually going. diamlerchrysler is planning to release the smart car. now maybe you have heard of them, maybe you have not. if you have ever been to Europe, apparently it practically owns the market. smart cars have taken the niche market of the tiny, tiny automobile by storm. i saw one on the street the other day, and i have to say i was impressed. it looks kind of odd, and the same time, kind of neat. i apparently saw what is known as the smart fortwo model. aptly named because it built for two people. will they come to America with their affordable prices, and economical savings on gas? well apparently this it what the good people at diamlerchrysler thought they would do to win over American drivers. build the largest mini-car ever. sound confusing, ok well at least we are on the same page. the plan is to release a new model called the smart formore (following the trend of smart fortwo and forfour titles). the smart formore is an suv, that is right, they are planning to sell the American people on the idea that small cars are better by encouraging them to buy a larger gas guzzler. the exact opposite of every goal that the smart car strives to achieve. i can not be the only one that thinks this is strange. of course, then again, it is entirely possible that i might be.

it's just cause i'm old school like that. roll that rap over soul loops like that.

i've been playing a lot of Guitar Hero a lot in preparation the highly anticipated sequel. for those who have never played or heard of it. it a rhythm sim for the playstation two. and you play it with what look likes a fischer price toy guitar. i have not had this much fun making myself look like a total ass since i got ahold of samba de amigo. and the less popular version that is used with the eye-toy.
other things for me to look forward too, the venture brothers dvd set. new episodes of the venture brothers on adult swim. which is about damn time, we've been waiting like two years to find out if Hank and Dean are dead. curse you cliff hangers! i am not sure when they will be doing the boondocks dvds, but i am pretty sure that is coming up soon as well. also along the lines of all things AS, there is a new cd being released by the infamous Danger Doom. it is technically a combination effore of Danger Mouse, and MF Doom. they mix great lyrics with awesome beats and obvious of being a child of the eighties. head on over to adultswim.com to check out some of his free downloads.
also, new t-shirt design available the store. go get one.

this shit is bananas... B-A-N-A-N-A-S

ok this has been a long time coming. not just from the lack of posts, but on an entirely different matter. many people who know me personally, also have been introduced to my mild obsession with -- how shall i put it -- wacky shirt designs. in fact, i would often go out and have them made at the local cosmic when i lived in lexington. but alas, nothing lasts forever. as a slight alternative, i have turned to the people at e-shirt.com. and, after much anticipation on my part at least, i have finally designed the the bananas shirt. who cares if they song came out what seems like forever ago, and people no longer care about it. anyway, enough of my yammering. go buy a shirt already.

i think i love you, so what am i so afraid of? i'm afraid that I'm not sure of, a love there is no cure for

happy valentine's day everybody, i hope that everyone is sharing today with someone special. if you plan on going out tonight, please refrain from accidently shooting a 70+ year old man in the face. in the spirit of the day, i have posted a little pic as a sort of virtual valentine's day to everyone who reads.
not much else going on today that i know of, i will probably try to head out later this evening to sport one of my more infamous shirt designs. *sigh* how i miss having a cosmic store to assault with my wacky ideas and creations.
plans are in the works for me to dedicate an entire site to a particular game phenom by the name of Jet Set Radio. how will it turn out, what will it contain, and who is going to be there? not sure if i know myself, but i am almost certain that it will contain a section that continue to house some of my attempts at works of art.
pink's new cd is out, how long has it been on the market, i am not really certain, but it is here now and that is what is important. which brings up my next question, why is that when i shock people is a social setting it is called crass, when they shock someone on the television show brainiac it is called science, and when they shock someone in the state of texas, it is called capital punishment?

cause you had a bad day, you're taking one down, you sing a sad song just to turn it around

first off i would like to start off with a little credit Tori, for those of you know who she is, good for you. for those who do not, what the hell is wrong with you? as for her new video for "a sorta fairytale" i have this to say. never before have two ambilatory limbs with heads attached making out ever been hotter. kudos to her.
secondly, i am still a little lacking in the working department, and it is starting to get to me. of course if i spent less time blogging and watch limb erotica, i would probably have a little more time for the cause. being in saint louis is nice, but it would probably be even better if i had a nine to five. i have applied primarily all the places i would really like to work at, which consists primarily of retail stores involving some sort of media driven industry. i know about media, or at least i have heard of it. i think i saw something about it once on the discovery channel. that qualifies me for something i am almost certain. but we will see how that goes.
i recently purchased, and totally spanked, devil may cry 3: dante's awakening: the special edition. well, spanked is a relative term in relation to the fact that i actually managed to beat the game. eventually... on the easiest level they have. but never fear, not that i have made my way through the game, i know the gyst of it and i should be able to accomplish the possible and play it on normal. even better, this time around i get to play as Dante with is shirt off! why is this even a feature?

Virtual insanity is what we're living in...

news, news, news. i finally made it out to St. Louis, and i am currently taking a break from slowly unpacking everything in my room. which, much like my website, will be a constant work in progress. i have to do some serious funiture shopping in the way of shelving for dvd/cds and my video games respectively since i have so many of each.
mike asked me to put the smoke detector back on the ceiling. mind you, this particular smoke detector has been down for about three months now. since the last time i came down to visit and i managed to set it off while i was taking a shower. not necessarily because the shower was that hot, but as it turns out, the smoke detector is right next to the bathroom door, which i had left open. at any rate, Mike asked me to put it back up. being that this is one of those fire detectors that are wired into the apartments electricity, this proved to be a bad idea. let us just say, that there was a popping sound, and flash of light. i managed to come away completely unscathed, with only a little temporary blindness. bright light, bright light.
apparently my sister also wants to come to S.L. for another birthday, not hers, but i believe it is a friend of hers, whom we shall call Tara -- because that is her name. but i don't believe that is supposed to occur until february. so there will be more on that as time progresses.
for the next several, however long it may take, i will be looking for a new place of employment. to look at my employment history, one would think that i have quite a great deal of trouble holding down a steady place of employment. but for the most part, i have quite most of the jobs i have worked at for one reason or another. and at least two of the places i worked at went out of business while i was still working for them. plus, and let the record show, i move quite a lot. so i have a work history spanning over four different states. which is just silly in itself.
well i am off to eat my lunch, and laugh some more at that fact the "douche" is the French word for shower. and they say yes "oui oui", those silly French. it's no wonder we had to invent the fries for them.

everything will be alright, everything will be alright, everything will be alright

the killers: hot fuss special edition came out earlier this month. what makes if so special? elephino, from what i can see it seems to contain all the same track listings as the original release or this albulm. mayhaps it has an additional dvd with their music videos on it. that seems to be the popular thing to do these days. but they are in the link today, if you want to check it out for yourselves.
recently i have been informed to be more discreet about my beaux. as he apparently has students who like to surf the internet or something, and they have managed to find and read my blog postings. so i guess i have to keep all random thoughts and musings about that to a minimum. well, i say fugg that. it's my blog and i'll write if i want to. i just don't feel like it right now.
the holidays were ok, new years was pretty fun. someone got drunk and puked, and it wasn't me for once, yay!
