good news everyone!
i was participating in the Liberty City 100% club last weekend for the video game GTA IV on my Xbox 360. i fell short of completing the goal within the seven day deadline. even though i spent a lot of time with the patrons of the LC. so imagine my suprise when i log into the Rockstar Social Club and find out that have extended the deadline to may 19th.
i have to be honest with you though, i had to work really hard to get where i was the in the game. so when the deadline passed, i pretty started playing in the online made only. so my storyline hasn't really progressed. plus, i began using one of the in-game cheats to tackle some of the more challenging levels. so i am taking this extension as a way to complete the story i have started, and perhaps still have time to do the whole thing within the 30 hour time frame. although, playing through the game once, i have picked up a lot of tricks to flying through the story, and thus shortening the actualy number of hours i have logged in the game. for instance, i have already watched all the the cinemas. i don't know how many hours that will cut, but i'm sure it's a few.

holy carp ftw?!
wow i can't believe i managed to oversleep this morning. nothing too damaging though seeing as how the bus doesn't bother to have a connection that will get me to work on time if i don't catch the first one out.
at any rate, while i was reading the news paper the other morning, or the front page of it at least. there was an article about how black are more likely to be convicted of a crime than the exact same crime if it were committed by a white person. and all i could think of was "DUH!" i mean come on, is this really news to anybody. they also went on to say that white people violate laws more often. also no big suprise there. they make this sound like it a revolutionary discovery, and i know for a fact this is not the first "study" inbvolving a race in relation to crime ratio. so what is my point? well, black people say this all the time, and more often than shrugged off as pulling the "race card". however, let a group of people get together for what was probably a college assiginment, call it statistics, and suddenly it means something. well, it means something at least until they finish the paper.

i thought i would make good use of the time
so many of my friends and family know that i recently upgraded my phone to the samsung blackjack 2. i gotta say, i'm not even remotely disappointed. i've used it every day since i got the thing, and not just for making phone calls. i've taken a few pics with the camera. i use the internet for checking my favorite sites on the bus rides to and from work. in fact, i've written this blog entry using the qwerty keyboard. love it! i have an mp3 player, so i don't use it for that, but the ability to transfer music to it allows me to use them as custom ringtones. it's the same for pics. that's free ringtones and wallpapers fo'sho'. it's like a buffet. at any rate, i think this will be a regular thing on my morning commute to work. just to kill some time, i'll try to post a quick one on the bus. that is if i have anything to blog about.
