hey santa, why don't talk about it, work it out

ok just to catch everybody up to speed. on tuesday i smashed my pinky in one of the cages at work on tuesday. of course, since it was me, i had smashed it in a rather unusual way. the doors on the front of what are affectionately known as shark cages slide past each other. somehow, i managed to wedge just my pinky between the two doors. this was the pinky on my left hand by the way, so not entirely a big loss.

then, yesterday when i went to sit on my desk i cut a chunk out of the pinky on my right hand. i know that sounds kind of unnatural, but our desks in the warehouse are actually just metal shelving. so the fact that i cut myself on metal shelving is not that suprising. what is suprising was the fact it only happenned because i sat on my hand. now i am not one of those who is not aware of how accident prone i really am, but i fear for the safety of my pinky toes.

yin additionm yesterday morning i was verbally accosted by the bus driver becuase she refused to let myself, as well as other passengers on or off the bus. this one deserves a little back story. recently there has been quite a lot of construction on the north side of milwaukee on on of its main roads. so the bus route has been altered several times in order to compensate. what has not occurred is the transition or positioning of temporary busstops to replace the ones that bus no longer travels by. so for the most part, the bus drivers were picking people off in close proximity to the bus stop heading opposite direction. so one of the other regulars asked to be let off. i would usually get off at the same spot since our jobs are a short distance from each other. the bus driver refused to let her off. so we passed best buy to the intersection where a stop would be if there was no construction going on at the moment, and i asked to be let off as well. again she refused. so then we began arguing about why she had some issue with letting people off the people. despite that i could see the busstop sign, and regardless of the people who were standing at the corner waiting to get on the bus. she also reminded me that they were monitoring the bus with audio and surveillance equipment. she then told me she could have the cops come out. "for what" i shouted, "you're the one who won't let us off the bus!" eventually, she did let us off the bus after making me significantly late for work. she refused to let any of the people waiting for the bus on at that point, and drove off to her next destination. i was bot able to call in a complaint yesterday becuase i just counted on them being open later than a bank. turns out that was a horrible error on my part. at this point, i need to stop riding the bus by any means possible. i have even considered biking to work until fall. i honestly need to think of some way to encourage people to boycott the bus for one day. perhaps i could use my influence over all things canadian to enourage others to do so as well.
