easy breezey, do you whisper to hide that you're feeling lonely

about a week ago, a friend and i stopped in the local Cold Stone Creamery. i have been to them before in Lexington, but this was the first one i went to where they sang a little tune. someone would say “hey, how about a song?” then everybody would sing some tune about Coldstone, layered over some familiar harmony i am pretty sure they do not have the legal rights to sing at any rate. so at some point while waiting in line to buy some ice cream i called out “hey, how bout a song?” i now know what it is like to have people stare daggers at me. or as my friend politely put, “you clearly were not part of that group. they looked at you like you farted on their best suit.” let me tell, they seriously looked pissed. i cannot imagine why, but trust me they did.

i also began training at best buy, but in the morning i am still working at the gap. of the two, it seems that the gap is more fun, mostly because i really get along with the crew there. however, both jobs are seasonal, and of the two, i am hoping to keep the one at best buy. it is the kind of job that i would really enjoy doing, especially in the media department, which is what i am training in. here is the rub, so far, it has been nearly impossible to get in touch with my supervisors. today, i was instructed on something for five minutes or so, before i know it, that guy heads home. it is so weird, it seems no one who works beyond three in the evening is a fulltime employee. they are all trainees like myself. does anybody else see anything wrong with that? is it just me? perhaps it is.
