I'll follow you to greater lights

so this past saturday i was able to attend the video games live concert here in milwaukee. it was a fantastic show and i look forward to seeing what they come up with for next year's show.



at the meet and greet after the show Mr. Tallarico asked me what my favorite part of the show was. hands down it was the sonic montage/medley. no contest! i've been a sega fan ever since we first got the sega master system way back in the day. Tails is my favorite video game character of all time, and i am adoring fan of the entire sonic series. it's one of the few titles that i own multiple copies of the same game. that's right, i just keep buying the same sonic titles every time they re-release them on a new system.

i also loved the audience participation segments of the show. it was fun to see a guy running back and forth across the stage to protect it from space invaders. and the girl gamers who competed in frogger, all while the orchestra kept time with the players. there was also a portion of the show dedicated to cosplay at the very beginning. some great pics. i'm sorry i don't have any, Tommy if you're reading this - are there any that you could loan to me? lol.

i also got to shake hands with impressive yet humble Martin Leung of video game pianist fame. he said it was his first to milwaukee, i hope he enjoyed it, and i hope we made him feel welcome.

if i haven't said it enough, thanks for coming. looking forward to next years show, and quite possibly the release of t a cd? don't forget about megaman Tommy, maybe a medley of the ending themes and quick clip of Protoman?
