Aren't we friends? Sooo what's the problem? Let me borrow the top!

i finally managed to move up to milwaukee. right now i'm staying with some family, but i've already lined up a place to move into in the coming weeks. which i'm really looking forward to, because they are slowly driving me insane here. very slowly, and to an extent, somewhat painfuly.

i pretty much will be renting a room in an apartment close the best buy that work at. i like the new store, but it doesn't really have the same crew. i miss all my homies at the evansville best buy a bunch. even more so because the people i work with here seem like they want to be at work at all.

i checked out one of the other stores in the area, oddly enough, the store i work at is a greater distance away than the one i went this afternoon. which sucks because it's a really nice store, and the people that work there were cool as well. i kind of wish i had gotten transferred to that store instead, but perhaps i'll just work really hard to get the store i work at up and running. another thing that's kind of concern for me. the best buy location that i tranferred to seems really, really slow on the floor. sure it'll pick up the for the holidays, but it's already halfway through november so that place should be constantly busy. i have a nagging feeling they are going to close that best buy, it doesn't seem to be much of a hotbed of activity. i hope not, but at the same time, i could probably get a job at the other one if it does, who knows.

the bus system here is as good as i remember. i've had little problem getting where i need to go. and the busses now have little monitors on them that use this kind of gps strip map to tell you what stops are coming up, and it announces the connecting busses at that stop if there are any, neat! it's really good at night when it's too dark out for me to read the signs.

oh, what i picked up best buy. well pretty much all i brought home was a receipt. a thousand dollar receipt! but i got a t.v. and computer and a wireless router. and some cables for setting it up all together. what i wanted to do was get a LCD t.v. that i could set up and as the monitor, but i also wanted to use it to play video games on. the main issue i ran into was i didn't want to spend a ton of money, but i needed the t.v. to either have a VGA or DVI input on it. the other way i could have done it was to purchase a computer that has DVI output on it and use a DVI to HDMI cable. the latter proved to be the more expensive of the two. i ended up with a 32" insignia t.v. and gateway computer with 2gb of ram and 400gb of harddrive space. it also had a pocket drive expansion bay. which i didn't really want, but it seemed standard on all of the gateway and hp computer system.

oh yeah, bus t.v. also shows news headlines along with a short summary of what the story is about, and i couldn't believe i read this on there. so i went to look it up. here's the exact article: http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSN0938888020071110 it just so happens when i googled it, the first link was actually the news source that transit t.v. uses for their headlines. is it me, or does it just seem weird that they actually had to bann a teacher from carrying a gun to school?
